RaceInformationEventBriefingandStarttimes
All run and walk events will start from Urquharts Bay as specified on event maps. Event bus will take
competitors the 3km from the event base to the race start line. The bus will depart from outside the
event base. You don’t need to purchase bus tickets, they are part of your entry fee.

vest.Thisismandatory.Wehave3IRB’splusasafetyboatoncourse.
Pleasenotethereisnocompulsorygearrequirementforanyoftherunorwalkeventsbut
recommendyoucarryyourowncamelbak/hydrationpackwithgels,awaterproofandwindproof
jacket,thermalhatorbuff,1.5litresofwaterandasurvivalblanket.Pleasealsochecktheweather
forecastanddressappropriatelytotheconditions.Wewillhaveaidstationssetuponthecourseas
pereventmaps.Thesewillhavewaterandloadedelectrolytedrinksavailablewithbananasbeing

eventbase.TherewillalsobebikeracksattheendofthetransitionpointatOceanBeach.

SchoolRoad,WhangareiHeads.ThelocationisdetailedontheeventmapssectionoftheWildKiwi
website.Pleasenotethatcarparkingalongtheroadfrontageisverylimitedandlikelytocause
congestionissuessopleaseusetheschoolparkingasyourfirstoption.Therewillbeapproximatelya
500mwalktotheeventbasefromthere.Weareaimingtokeepthelocalresidentshappyandare
wantingtoavoidtoomuchdisruptiontotheirday.

BustransportationtoRaceStartsandeventpostdinner
We have an event bus that will transport competitors from the event base to all Run/Walk starts at
Urquharts bay. This bus will pretty much do a continuous look throughout the day between both
points. Post prize giving we will transport participants between the Event base to Parua Bay Tavern
and back on a continuous loop and as required. The last bus will be departing approximately at
10:30pm- 11pm and will head back into Whangarei township. Competitors have the option of taking
this bus into town. Please note capacity is limited to 60 passengers. You don’t need to purchase bus
tickets, they are part of your entry fee.

withbananasprovidedatPeachCoveandOceanBeachaidstationsonly.
