Keeping the Reservoir Clean
Lafayette Reservoir is a domestic drinking water supply.
Thank you for doing your part to keep the water clean.
No body contact with reservoir water is allowed.
No swimming, wading, or stand up paddle boarding.
This beautiful 126 acre reservoir with 928 acres of
open space offers hiking, biking, boating, fishing,
picnicking and restroom facilities.

Pets are allowed on trails and in picnic areas and must
remain on a leash no longer than 6 feet at all times.
Pet owners are required to pick up after their pet and
have the means to do so in their possession at all times.
Pets are not allowed in the boats or in the water.

Biking & Skating
Bikes, skates and rollerblades are allowed only on the
paved Lakeside Nature Trail during the following times:
Sundays from park opening to 11 am
Tuesdays from noon to park closing
Thursdays from noon to park closing
Skateboards are not permitted.

An EBMUD one-day fishing access permit is required
to fish. Those 16 years and older must also have a valid
California State Fishing license. Bait, tackle and EBMUD
fishing access permits may be purchased at the Visitor
Center. No live bait allowed except worms. State
fishing licenses may be purchased at www.dfw.ca.gov.
