Journal - - Club members:
I would like to apologize for not getting this done sooner. Time just seems to fly by since the last meeting. What happened? I
have been remodeling two rooms in our house at the same time. I needed to get that finished, before painters arrived at the middle of last week. OK, we did that. Then my wife said "we need to get these Christmas Decorations up now". OK, we did that
too.
Now with all that stress behind me I hope to be able to relax a little and enjoy what's left of the Christmas Season. Last month, I
said we really didn't have much going on at the Club. As cold as it's been lately I'm glad there wasn't. I'm content to stay inside
and stay warm. As I have always said, anything below 55 degrees is to cold for me.
So, what else do I have to say? Just couple of items I'd like to address. First, I'd to like to thank Lily and Don Rose and their helpers for making our parties the last several years so much fun. Sadly, they informed me they need to retire from being in charge of
that committee. Our Christmas Party this year was the last event for them. Again, Lily and Don, we all would like to thank you
for all your effort these past years.
So! it was decided at the last meeting to try something different. Next year's Christmas Party will be held on December 4, 2010 at
the Community Building at Windsor Woods Village here in Wayland. This facility is pre-decorated, well lighted, and toasty
warm. More details on that as time approaches.
Lastly, the 2010 Operating Budget was reviewed and approved by Club Members at the December Meeting. The Board of Directors would like to thank you for your effort, input and vote of confidence. If you thought putting this budget together looked like a
easy thing to do I can assure you it was not. Our treasurer Ron Fernwalt can attest to that. Because of Ron's extra effort, we
have a system that allows us to better track our income and expenses. This will be a great asset to future Directors and will allow
all of you to be better informed. If you haven't told Ron how much you appreciate his effort, please do so. Since this program
worked so well this past year, let us continue to keep up the good work right through 2010.
That's all I have for now except to wish you A VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS AND A HAPPY AND SUCCESSFUL NEW
YEAR. Hope to see you soon. . . . . .

Hi, I would like to thank everyone
who came to the Christmas party.
We had approx. 40 people in attendance. We had a great time
laughing and exchanging gifts. I am
sorry to say that we are retiring as
party chairmen. I would like to
thank my husband Don for all his
help and support along with my
son Mike and the rest of the Roses
and Ferners. We had some fun
parties over the years, but due to
health reasons, we are handing the
job over to someone else. Thanks
for everything.

I'm glad I wasn't a judge for the Best Cookies Contest. They were all awesome, so
many varieties to choose from (like I needed
any!) Thanks, Lily for thinking this up and
thanks to all the ladies who brought cookies.

With Lily Rose's retirement, we
find ourselves in need of a new
"Party Chair". Can be a team
effort.
Must be cheerful, funloving and able to organize a
party at any time.
Benefits: No pay, (an "atta boy/
girl" now and then). Gratitude
from other club members who are
happy that someone else stepped
forward to do the job.

We want to thank Wayne Ruthrup
and his crew for the tree trimming,
splitting wood and leaf cleanup that
they have been doing.

Thurkettle, and John Snyder and
his log splitter, These guys have
been doing a great job. When you
see them, be sure and thank them
for the great job they're doing.
A Big "Thank you" for the card and
nice thoughts from GVCnB. I appreciate this very much. Because of the
surgeries on my legs it looks like I
will be out of club activities until
March. Bummer.

2010 Membership & Campsite Renewal
Annual dues and campsite fees are payable no later than January 31, 2010. Payment must be made to treasurer Ron Fernwalt,
either at a meeting or, if mailed, must be postmarked no later than January 31, 2010.
This form must be completed and returned with payment. Please note that if you have a designated campsite and the fee is not
paid by January 31, the fee will be doubled. If not paid within 30 days after January 31, the unit must be moved off club property,
or it will be impounded by local law enforcement.
Reminder: All members having camping units on club property are expected to carry insurance on
their units or accept responsibility for any damage that may occur to said unit while on club property.
