this thread to ask for help!

If you've installed the mod, but it hasn't appeared in the game, you should:
1. If you're using the cracked version of the game - just forget about mods at all! They will not work! If
you wish to use mods - buy the game citycardriving.com/buy/citycardriving
2. Make sure you've followed the mod installation instruction carefully.
3. Check if the installed mod version was exactly the same as your game version.
4. Mostly mods don't work because of mistakes, made by you during the mod installation in "playe
r_cars"
file. Post your
"player_cars"
file here and maybe other more experienced mod users will help you to find a mistake. Just ask kindly.
If you've installed the mod, but now the game crashes just after you launch it, you should:

I am having a problem with opening zipped mods I have downloaded off of Google Chrome. I have tried
WinRAR and 7-Zip, but they are both asking me for passwords. I have tried downloading the Chevrolet
Volt and the Delorean DMC-12, as well as a few others, but I keep getting asked for a password! I have
used 7zip before, and never had any problems with a password being required. The only changes I
have made that may have caused this are that I switched from Windows Vista to Windows 8.1, and
switched from City Car Driving 1.2.5 to 1.3
Can somebody please tell me how to retrieve the password, or some other solution? I downloaded the
mods off of the multisoft/forward development website.
Thank you.

Rar mods are outdated and the 1.3.3 mods you are using require mod installer by daemon. Download it
here adf.ly/V0vob
If you have any questions about it, just post them here.

This helped a lot! Much appreciated.
Is there any way to increase the frame rate of CCD, besides minimizing graphics quality?
My computer:
OS: Windows 8.1
Processor: AMD A10-6700 with Radeon(tm) HD Graphics 3.70 GHz
ASUS Desktop PC M11BB Series
RAM: 8 GB (7.20 GB usable)

64-bit operating system, x64 based processor
At first, I though that AMD would make everything run much more smoothly, but should I use Intel? Or is
it because 8 and 8.1 are not good for gaming?
I can't believe they got rid of the Experience Index with 8.1! That probably would have been so darn
helpful!
Should I ask about this somewhere else in the forum?

hhtesntwr, try the 4gb patch by NTCore .
NTCore wrote:
This very little tool patches x86 executables in order to let them have 4GB (instead of only 2) of virtual
memory on x64 platforms. This tool comes very handy for applications which need a great amount of
virtual memory like games, 3D renderization, multimedia etc. To gain these 2GB, you just have to use
this tool to patch the executable (*.exe file) of the software you want to have these additional GBs of
virtual memory. It can be used by clicking on it and choosing the file or through command line (e.g.:
"4gb_patch file.exe"). It automatically creates a backup copy of the original executable.
Why things are this way on x64 is easy to explain. On x86 applications have 2GB of virtual memory out
of 4GB (the other 2GB are reserved for the system). On x64 these two other GB can now be accessed
by 32bit applications. In order to achieve this, a flag has to be set in the file's internal format. This is, of
course, very easy for insiders who do it every day with the CFF Explorer. This tool was written because
not everybody is an insider, and most probably a lot of people don't even know that this can be achieved.
Even I wouldn't have written this tool if someone didn't explicitly ask me to.

You are probably familiar with systemrequirementslab.com (Can YOU run it)
I ran the test for City Car Driving, and it said I met all of the recommended requirements, except for my
video card's Dedicated Video RAM. It says I have 768 MB, and the recommended amount is 1024 MB.
Also, for the CPU speed, it says I have 3.7 GHz, but it is not sure whether that meets the minimum or
recommended requirements.
I am sure many people have problems with getting City Car Driving to run smoothly, but you are
probably familiar with the youtuber SpeirstheAmazingHD. His computer can run anything, including City
Car Driving, extremely smoothly. I am not sure if he has a superior computer that costs thousands of
dollars, or if there is simply something else I could easily do.
The amount of RAM was probably not the problem with my computer. That patch did not seem to help.
Was this tool supposed to actually magically make games run with maximum performance?
Thank you, and I will try to master brief posts!

Our specs are nearly identical. I added on a Radeon 7700 to my computer and I do not have many
problems. Check out my specs. It could also be the SSD (I boot in less that 5 secs)

Strange why it's in Russian. If you use the international version, the one we all have from this site, then it
should
have the same files and content as mine, but mine's in English. Strange
.
I think this Supra is in .pkg. You should use the mod installer for .pkg and it will install perfectly.
Anyway, in case of game malfunction caused by any third-party mod you should fully delete and then
install the game again according to these steps:
1. Uninstall the game from the "Programs and components" menu in the control panel.
2. Manually delete the folder, where the game has been installed (if it will remain after uninstallation).

You will be fine reinstalling ccd. No reentering product keys. That's one of the things I love about CCD,
