Week of 10/5: Bullying Awareness
Our first theme in October supports Bullying Prevention
Month with feature resources about bullying, conflict
resolution, and leadership.
Week of 10/12: The Science of the Brain
This week’s resources support the on-air premiere of The
Brain with Dr. David Eagleman (10/14) and enhance lessons
on topics ranging from neuroscience to sports concussions.
Week of 10/19: Math Blast!
These featured math resources offer teachers a range of
creative “hooks” to get students engaged with core math
concepts and highlight their relevance to everyday life.
Week of 10/26: Halloween Spooktacular
This week’s featured resources offers teachers an easy way
to integrate Halloween themes into their math, language
arts, and science lessons all week long!
NOTE: Arts content will receive ongoing promotion throughout
Oct./Nov. in support of PBS’ Fall Arts Festival (10/9-11/27).
NOTE: The Emperor Science Awards will receive ongoing
