Either when you purchase a Pennzoil® oil change or change your own oil with Pennzoil®, We will
give you a FREE lubrication limited warranty that will protect all your engine's lubrication-related
parts, such as the pistons, timing chain, valve stems and cam shafts, for 10 years or 250,000 miles.
How to get coverage.
To qualify for coverage all you have to do is get a Pennzoil® oil change or change your oil with
Pennzoil®. Your engine must have less than 36,000 miles and have been manufactured within the
last 48 months. It's that easy!
How to keep it.
Just get a Pennzoil® oil change at Hunter’s Oil Depot or change your oil with Pennzoil® every 4,000
miles or 4 months, whichever comes first. This may not be the same as some vehicle manufacturers
recommend, but neither is the length of our limited warranty. The oil filter and air cleaner elements
must be replaced and the emission control system must be maintained in accordance with the
vehicle manufacturer's recommendations. You have to take very good care of your engine if you
want it to last for ten years. Or 250,000 miles. Our limited warranty is transferable. The Pennzoil®
limited warranty offers something that could prove valuable if you sell your vehicle before it's gone
250,000 miles. The limited warranty can be transferred to the next owner.

A 10 Year / 250,000 miles engine lubrication limited warranty covering 15 vehicle engine parts that
may fail on account of engine wear, or which experience abnormal wear, because Pennzoil® motor
oil failed to provide proper lubrication.

According to the terms and conditions of the warranty my vehicle is ineligible due to age,
however, I have been using Pennzoil since I purchased the vehicle. Will my vehicle still
qualify for the warranty?
As long as you can prove that you have been using Pennzoil® motor oil since the first oil change
AND that your vehicle had been driven 36,000 miles or less when you first used Pennzoil® motor oil
AND whose manufactured date was within 48 months of your first use of Pennzoil® motor oil your
vehicle qualifies
Do vehicles with newly replaced or rebuilt engines qualify for the warranty?
No
I use synthetic motor oil; am I still required to change my oil as often as every 4000 miles
or 4 months?
YES – one of the main functions of motor oil is to remove contaminants and combustion by-products
from the engine by holding them in suspension. Although synthetic motor oils are designed to
provide better protection under extreme heat and heavy loads, any oil will reach a saturation point
where it can no longer hold the contaminants and protect the engine from them.
My manufacturer recommends changing the oil between 5000 – 7000 miles. Should I
follow the manufacturers recommendations, or Pennzoil?
As most vehicles are driven under severe driving conditions, and to maintain warranty coverage,
you must change your oil every 4000 miles or 4 months, whichever comes first

Gross vehicular weight of 10,000 pounds or less
Driven 36,000 miles or less and whose manufactured date is within the last 48

I exceeded the 4000 miles, mandatory oil change requirements. Does this mean my
warranty is void?
Yes – to maintain warranty coverage you must service your vehicle with Pennzoil® motor oil every
4000 miles or 4 months whichever comes first
I am missing a few of my oil change receipts from my records and am unable to obtain
copies. Does this mean that my warranty is void?
Yes - The legibility of your service / purchase receipts is important. Should you have the need to
submit a claim, we’ll need to clearly identify from your receipts a Pennzoil lube, oil & filter service or
purchase was completed, the mileage at time of service and complete vehicle information. Please
store your receipts in a safe place. Eligible receipts may result in a claim being denied.
