NOTE: Beginning Fall 2016, the city will implement changes required by the credit card industry. Those changes may limit the city’s ability to take
registrations by phone.
.
Special Needs
The cities of Minnetonka and Hopkins encourage individuals
with disabilities to register for general recreation programs.
If you require assistance or have special needs, let us know.
Recreation Services will make reasonable accommodations to
facilitate the participation of an individual with a disability
in any of our programs. Please advise our staff at time of
registration.
Program Withdrawal & Refund Policy
Participants wishing to withdraw from a program must do so
at least two full working days before the start of the program
in order to receive a refund (exceptions are youth soccer, youth
basketball, and senior trips which have specified withdrawal
dates). Refunds will also be granted when Recreation Services/
Senior Services cancels a class due to low enrollment.
No refund is granted for a single class cancelled due to
circumstances beyond our control, i.e. power outages, weather,
etc.
Partial refunds after the start of a program will be
considered if injury or serious illness occurs. In such cases,
a physician’s verification may be required. Refunds for
senior trips are only granted in the event that a participant
is found to fill the space.
All refunds requested by the registrant that are granted will
be assessed a $5 administrative fee. Cancellations initiated
by Recreation/Senior Services will not be assessed the $5
administrative fee. Refund checks can take up to three
weeks to process.
Minnesota Tort Claims Act
Under Minnesota law, the cities of Hopkins and Minnetonka
are not liable for injuries related to the operations and
maintenance of facilities used for the provision of recreation
programs. Recreation Services programs are available to
all residents of the cities of Hopkins and Minnetonka.
These agencies are not responsible for injuries sustained by
participating in these programs.
