Morning Melodies 2016
Treat yourself to a morning of quality entertainment.
Shows are held monthly on a Wednesday and
include morning tea at 10.15am, with performances
starting at 11am.
Admission: Standard $13.50; Group (10 or more)
$12.50; Registered Carers $3.
Jay Weston performs Roy Orbison
Wednesday 10 February
Classically trained vocalist Jay Weston portrays the
unique sound of one of the greatest singers of all
time, The Big O. Who can forget ‘Only the Lonely’,
‘Crying’ and ‘Pretty Woman’.
A Knight to Remember – A Tribute to
Sir Tom Jones
Wednesday 9 March
Wayne Stanley will astound with the energy and
power of his vocal performance in his tribute to
Sir Tom Jones. Classic tunes include ‘Delilah’,
‘It’s Not Unusual’ and ‘What’s New Pussycat’.
Don’t Forget Me Cobber – Agelink
Theatre Inc
Wednesday 13 April
West Australian letters and diaries have been used
to create this play celebrating the Anzac spirit. Set
in WW1, it tells the story of two WA soldiers and a
volunteer nurse on duty in Europe.
You Made Me Love You – Jake Dennis
Wednesday 11 May
Velvet-voiced Jake Dennis, with pianist Mark
Cunniffe, will perform great songs about romantic
love by legends Louis Armstrong, Judy Garland,
Frank Sinatra and many more.
Strike a Chord
Wednesday 8 June
This sassy group of ladies love to sing and have
fun doing it. The ensemble sings in three/four part
harmony in a show full of laughs and great music.
Wayne Pride in concert
Wednesday 13 July
Country music lovers will enjoy consummate
professional Wayne Pride. His repertoire spans
Country, Country Rock, 50's Rock n Roll and
great tunes from the 50's to the 70’s.
Westcoast Chordsmen
Wednesday 10 August
Four-part, unaccompanied harmony in barbershop
style is what this men’s choir is all about. You will
hear them sing a mix of well known tunes, rich with
harmony and fun.
Delicious Dusty Springfield – Jaye Yates
Wednesday 7 September
With a 60’s beehive and smoky panda eyes,
Jaye Yates returns to DRPAC with her tribute to this
singing great. She will perform hits like ‘Son of a
Preacher Man’, ‘You Don’t Have to Say You Love Me’,
and many more.
With a Song in My Heart - OWNTG
Wednesday 12 October
Come along and join the Older Women’s Network
Theatre Group in this musical homage to George
Gershwin and other well-loved songs by Cole Porter,
Michael Bublé, Rod Stewart and more.
Silver Threads Band
Wednesday 9 November
Brilliant music and audience participation aplenty
are assured when this 25-member big brass band
makes its annual visit to DRPAC.
Tivoli Christmas Show
Wednesday 7 December
The Tivoli Club brings its end of year show to the
centre for the first time. Sing-alongs to well known
songs, dance routines and a dash of comedy will
make it a great morning out.
