Attempting to motivate one generation with the motivational strategy of another is like attempting to motivate
a cat by offering it a dog bone. And to make matters worse, we then wonder what’s wrong with the cat.

Purpose
Leveraging the advantages of a multigenerational workforce begins when leaders focus on similarities, respect differences,
and draw on strengths.
Long-term organizational success requires two things: transfer of existing knowledge from one generation to the next
and embracing new knowledge entering the organization. The key is to create a culture where employees are equally
comfortable teaching and learning from each other.
With business changing at an increasingly rapid pace, the generations have a unique opportunity to create new ways
of doing business together by actively seeking out diverse viewpoints and incorporating drive, knowledge, and ideas
from every age group.
