The program will be available in Council Grove Monday through Friday, June 5-July 14 at Council Grove Elementary School. Food service in White City will take place Tuesday & Thursday, June 5-July 14 at White City School. No service provided on July 4. Food service begins at 12:00 pm and ends at 12:30pm. Both loca ons will have ac vi es provided from 12:30-1:00pm. This program is free to all children, 1-18 years of age. Adult meals are free to those adults accompanying a child to the program. Adults are welcome and encouraged to par cipate with their children. You will not need to complete any applica ons or meet any income requirements to enjoy this free meal program. In Council Grove, transporta on will be provided in coopera on with Morris County Transporta on. Stops are available at Council Grove Library and Council Grove High School. Pick up is at 11:45am at Council Grove Library and 11:50am at Council Grove High School. Drop off at each loca on will follow the end of the program at 1:00pm, Monday-Friday. The event will begin at 11:30 am with the survivors’ meal and con nue with the opening ceremonies, Survivor Lap, introduc on of teams, and ligh ng of the luminaria and reading of names, concluding at 3:30 pm. The event pays tribute to those lost to cancer, honors those s ll figh ng, and celebrates with cancer survivors the many strides and advancements in the area of cancer research. The June 3 event marks the 23rd year for the Morris County Relay For Life. Jamie Schmidt and Connie Johnson are co-chairs for the event, with other commi ee volunteers being Deneen Wilmore, Stephanie Laudemann, Cheryl Kincaid, Pam Ackley, Sid Wilkerson, Linda Peterson, Bob Collins, Christy Jimerson, Lisa Campbell, and Donna Frese.
