Tips on examination technique
 Divide your time equally in the exam – 45 minutes each task and 15 minutes to
proofread
 Make sure that you analyse in detail, using the PEE structure in your answer
 Make sure that you mention the playwright’s name (Priestley/Miller) and the audience
regularly in your responses, ideally in every paragraph
 Use linking words and phrases to create fluency in your responses
 Conclusion should be brief and link to Priestley’s central message – his Socialist
manifesto.
