Race 1
Following the running of the race, J.C. Estrada, the rider of #5 Royal Guard, who finished fourth, lodged
an objection against #6 Cat N Bird, who finished first and was ridden by Leonel Camacho-Flores, for
alleged interference going into the first turn. After reviewing the videos and taking the testimony of the
riders involved the stewards determined that going into the first turn #6 Cat N Bird did come out and
make contact with #5 Royal Guard, however the stewards determined that the interference did not cost
#5 Royal Guard the opportunity of a better placing as he was beaten 1 ½ lengths for third place,
therefore the stewards made no change to the original order of finish. Original order of finish is: 6-4-15-2. A conference notice was issued to jockey Leonel Camacho-Flores to appear before the Board Of
Stewards for a film review.
