Remnant vegetation along the
walk includes ‘hanging swamps’ at
south Diamond Bay Reserve and
coastal heath at Eastern Reserve.
Together with sandstone formations

No alcohol or smoking is allowed on our
beaches. There are alcohol-free zones around
Bondi, Tamarama and Bronte beaches, parks
and streets.

Lifeguards
There are many beaches in Sydney’s eastern suburbs. Bondi,
Bronte and Tamarama beaches are patrolled by Waverley
Council professional lifeguards who wear distinctive bright
blue shirts, while Maroubra, Clovelly and Coogee beaches are
patrolled by Randwick Council lifeguards in a dark blue and
white uniform.
Bondi, Maroubra and Coogee beaches are patrolled by
lifeguards every day of the year. Bronte, Tamarama and
Clovelly are patrolled from late-September to the end of April.
For your safety, only swim when beaches are patrolled and
always swim between the red and yellow flags.
