Just minutes from vibrant downtown Austin, Barton Creek Resort & Spa presides over 4,000 acres of rolling hills, scenic woodland and
winding creeks in the glorious Texas Hill Country.
More than 43,000 square feet of sophisticated, world-class meeting, conference and banquet facilities accommodate groups in style while a seasoned
conference staff ensures every event is truly memorable and “extraordinarily Austin.” Attentive, flawless service is delivered with a friendly, can-do
attitude that’s pure Texan. And at the end of the day, attendees retreat to elegantly appointed guest rooms furnished handsomely in Southwestern
style, where they’ll find everything they need to stay in touch with home and office, from a business desk to high-speed Internet access.
The resort is home to four breathtaking, 18-hole championship golf courses – all certified Audubon Cooperative Sanctuaries – plus the acclaimed
Chuck Cook Golf Academy. Tennis courts, a fitness center and two pools offer plenty of opportunities for recreation while forested nature trails lend
themselves to meditative walks. Guests can pamper themselves at a full-service spa and salon, and cap off a satisfying day with AAA Four-Diamond
dining in a choice of appealing settings.

Accommodations
Barton Creek’s 300 spacious guest rooms, including 16 suites, are
appointed in handsome Southwestern style. Boasting spectacular views,
they feature multi-channel televisions with in-room movies, high-speed
wired and wireless Internet access, Nintendo, robes, sundries and a fully
stocked refreshment center. The Texas-sized suites – the Fairway, Tom
Fazio and Ben Crenshaw – offer relaxed luxury and breathtaking views of
the countryside and golf courses.
Conference and Meeting Facilities
Barton Creek Resort & Spa is among the Southwest’s premier
meeting destinations, with 43,750 square feet of flexible meeting
space, impeccable service, and advanced multi-media and networking
technology. It is a perennial industry award winner.
Ideal for groups and executive retreats, meeting facilities include a 156seat amphitheatre, a Texas-style board room, more than 27 meeting rooms
and conference suites, an open-air covered Pavilion and the 8,240-squarefoot Darrell Royal Ballroom with adjacent Wildflower Atrium. Certified
Meeting Professionals (CMP) assist with every detail, from AV requirements to catering needs to ground transportation.
Technology and Business Services
Barton Creek’s media center and full-time production staff coordinate broadcast-quality video and audio, computer graphics and more.
A full-service, onsite business center provides workstations, fax and
photocopying services, as well as shipping.
Wireless and wired Internet access throughout the meeting space
creates a true office-away-from-the-office experience. Wireless access is also
available by the resort pool, in the lobby, Jim Bob’s Bar and The Grill.
Spa & Fitness
The Spa at Barton Creek features 24 treatment rooms with a relaxed
Texas ambience and a tempting selection of massage, facials, and
aromatherapy services. An 11,000-square-foot fitness center features
state-of-the-art equipment by Life Fitness, Free Motion, Nordic Trak,
Cybex and Precor; free weights; an indoor track; sport court; indoor
heated pool; and a variety of classes from personal fitness to yoga to
kick boxing.
Golf
Barton Creek’s four championship courses – Fazio Canyons, Fazio
Foothills, Crenshaw Cliffside and Palmer Lakeside – continue to receive
national recognition. Waterfalls, cliffs, hills and cave features celebrate
the natural elements of the Texas Hill Country, and all four courses are
certified Audubon International Cooperative Sanctuaries. Fazio Canyons is
one of only 50 courses in the world to earn the distinction of an Audubon
International Signature Sanctuary. The resort is also home to the stateof-the-art Chuck Cook Golf Academy, whose ultra-modern facilities and
unique programs enhance all aspects of the game.
Other Activities
A lighted, 11-court Tennis Academy is staffed by some of the nation’s
top instructors and features a tennis pro shop. Other options include
an outdoor pool with vine-covered limestone walls and waterfalls, an
18-hole miniature golf course and a four-mile Nature Trail. Barton Creek can
arrange a Cypress Valley Canopy Tour that takes visitors on zip lines 80 feet
above an old-growth cypress forest, or provide transportation to downtown
Austin for an evening of live music or eclectic shopping.
Dining
Barton Creek boasts several exceptional dining choices and a wine list
that has earned the Wine Spectator “Award of Excellence.” The upscale
Hill Country Dining Room showcases AAA Four-Diamond award-winning
cuisine and spectacular views of the Texas Hill Country and golf course.
Many enjoy relaxed dining at The Grill, featuring regional Texas
favorites as well as a fabulous hamburger. Jim Bob’s Lounge is a popular
post-game meeting place with the latest libations, casual fare, pool tables
and a big-screen TV. Seasonally, poolside dining is the choice for quick
meals. And in 2008, Barton Creek will add a Lobby Coffee Market, serving
up hot and cold coffee favorites, as well as freshly made pastries and on-thego snacks.
