Call to Order:
 Called to order by Todd Hughes at 4:03pm
Amendments to the Meeting Agenda:
 Will motions to approve pending minor adjustments. Ryan seconds. Approved via
unanimous vote.
Amendments to the Meeting Minutes:
 John motions to approve pending minor changes. Will seconds. Approved via unanimous
vote.
Guest:
 Nan is working with Manatee County officials to build relations and grow lines of
communication between Officials and the community. Nan would like if members of the
Board could participate in this program.
 Mary Beth enters 4:17pm.
 Bryan enters 4:17pm.
 Nan leaves 4:18pm.
 Amber is seeking to build a green team on this campus. The goal is to make this campus a
greener campus. Already approved by Dr. Guilford to move forward. Is looking to have their
first meeting next month.
 Amber leaves 4:23pm.
 Working with the family of Dylan Proctor to hold a memorial.
 Rebecca enters 4:24pm.
 The search for a Regional Vice Chancellor has come down to three candidates. Will be
bringing the candidates to campus and would like to have SGA and other student meet with
all three candidates. March 3rd 2:00pm-3:00pm, March 18th 9:30am-10:30am and March
19th 11:15am-12:15pm.
President and Vice-President Updates:
 USF day at the capital went well. The school was received well. Talked about S.T.E.M.
funding. Other issue involving our campus did come up including the light.
Old Business:
 Viking is 85% done, excess items are being handed out.
New Business:
 End of the year banquet. There are three ideas on the table, Pirate City, IMG and Mote. It is
likely Mote will not be possible. Pirate City is cost effective and all inclusive. Another idea is
to look into using the auditorium.




 Will leaves at 4:52pm.
Rowing would like to do a boat wrap memorializing Dylan Proctor. Executive Board
approves.
Would like to set up some form of shuttle program between here and the New College
library. Find out is there is an interest. Also, talk to Rick about the path being built between
campuses. Look into New College’s bike program.
Tervis give away. Ryan has been looking into doing a Tervis give away during USF week or
Cultural week.
Hard Hat for higher education at St. Pete campus. Need to call Mark for more info.

 Dr. Hernandez will be here, please come if available.

Announcements/Upcoming Events:
 Tuskegee airman will be on campus Tuesday 2/25/2014 to speek.
 Twelve Years a Slave will be shown on campus next Thursday 2/27/2014.
 Flip-Flop give away Tuesday 2/25/2014.
 Students would like more local and healthy fresh foods.
 Many students do not want to participate in the Desoto parade. Rebecca would like to cancel
that event and do a day at Universal instead.
