„Bayrische Spielkarten“

The pictures above are cards for a typical bavarian game. There are 32 cards
and among them you have 4 colour-groups (“Eichel“, “Herz“, “Gras“, “Schellen“) ,
per group there are 8 different cards (7,8,9,10,Unter,Ober,König,Sau). You can
play different games with them (for example: „Watten“ or „Schafkopfen“)
„Schusser / Murmeln“

Draw a circle on the ground and go 3 metres away. Throw your taws at the
same time (you need at least 2 taws) and target at the circle on the
ground.
You have (to try) to throw one taw so that it stays in the circle and the other
one has to lie outside the circle. If you manage this, you can take all taws
which were thrown so far. If you don‘t manage this, it‘s the other one‘s turn.
„Puppen“

Every girl wants to have a doll. In the past, the dolls costed a lot of money
and because of that people made the dolls‘ clothes by themself. But there
was not only the doll but also doll‘s pram, doll bottle and a little bed. Every
doll had a name, there were names like Annabell, Rosalinda, Maribell etc.
„Teddybär“

Everybody knows them: Teddys! In Germany
they exist for more than 100 years. It‘s a typical
present for babies who are born .
The most famous
label in Germany is
„Steiff“.
All their teddys
have a button in
the ear.
„Schlitten fahren“

In the winter when the ground is snowcapped
children often go sledding on a little hill. The
traditional sled is made of wood but the modern
sleds are made of plastic.
„Kasperltheater“
Puppet theatre
Puppet theatre is a theatre which you play with hand puppets. You invent some
stories and act it with the figures. Mostly you play it with some friends and often
you show it to relatives or parents.
„Eisenbahn“
The rail
Children and adults like to play with the
rail.
There are different
speeds, build
constructions and
always new roads.
„Kaufladen“
Shop
Little children play with a small „shop“. They pretend that they are a
shop assistant and sell small bottels of milk, sweets and plastic
vegetables for toy money.
Or they play cooking with a
little kitchen.
„Gummitwist“

There are a lot of different kinds of double dutch. The most famous one :

Actually you jump always on the same place, but it was easier to show it to you
like this.
„Schneemann bauen“

A snow rabbit…

Usually you roll three snow balls with different sizes. The biggest one is below
The middle one and the smallest one should be the head of the snowman.
But you can form some other figures, too.
Das Specht Spiel
It‘s a game for little children at the age of 3 – 5.
Pull the woodpecker back and let it go.The bird knocks on the pole of steal and
goes down.It‘s very fascinating for the little childs.

Der Kreisel
This is also a toy for little children. You have to take
the spiral and then push it down a lot of times. Now
the „Kreisel“ is able to circle.
