Faders Buttons
System Design
Select between microphones 1-6 and 7-12.
Contact us for help with your system design or send us your site file for
review for proper operation of the EASYMix12 control surface.
Channel Buttons
Auto and Mute buttons are backlit. Use the Auto
button to add or remove a microphone input from
the automixer.
Faders
Use the faders to adjust the gain of the microphone.
The faders are motorized to allow for multipoint
control.
System Setup for Rane Hal DSP’s.
1. Setup your HAL DSP with the sample configuration file found at
www.easymix.net.
2. Navigate your browser to the IP address of the EASYMix12. The default IP
address is 192.168.0.205.
3. Click the Setup tab and enter the DSP IP Address, DSP Port, Control
System, and Communication Type as shown.
System Buttons
System buttons are backlit. Presets and system
configuration can be linked to these buttons.
EQ Buttons
EQ Buttons allow the faders to be used for individual
tone control on each input. Pressing HIGH changes
each fader to a high tone control for each
microphone. Pressing LOW changes each fader to a
low tone control for each microphone. The EQ
function reverts back to level controls after a preset
time. (10 seconds by default)
Power Switch
The Power switch provides contact closure to
control a power squencer or power control. The LED
is controlled by the power sequencer logic out to
indicate system power status. The Power switch
does not turn the EASYMix on or off.
4. Click Save.
5. Power cycle the EASYMix12.
6. Click the Test IO tab and check for communication with your HAL DSP.
Switch and LED input
Connect the Switch input to a power sequencer or
power control.
Connect the Led + and Led - to the logic output on
the power control. Observe correct polarity. An
internal jumper allows you to choose 5V, 12V, or 24V.
Default is 12V.
Power Input
Use the included 24VDC power supply to power the
EASYMix12. The shield should be connected to
ground through the power supply.

New units ship with an IP address of 192.168.0.205. Enter this IP address in
a browser to log into the web interface. The web interface will allow you to
change the unit IP address and DSP IP address. Various other settings can
also be modified.
The EQ timeout determines the amount of time before the EQ function will
revert back to the normal mix mode. Time is in seconds.
You can program the system buttons to be either latched or momentary by
typing a value next to the corresponding button. Use 0 for latched.
Momentary is programmed by entering a time value in ms. You can also
change the status of the LED by choosing Reg or Inv.
Backup and System Settings
You can backup your system settings by inserting a flash drive into the USB
port and then pressing the bottom “system” button while powercycling the
unit. This saves a file named EASYMIX.txt to the flash drive. Open this file to
review the saved unit settings. This is also a good way to obtain the IP
address used to access the web interface.
Example:
EasyMix IP 192.168.0.205
DSP IP 192.168.0.215
DSP Port 48630
