Getting to the Leopold Center
From Interstate 90 Westbound (from Madison’s east side, Portage, Milwaukee, Chicago)
Get off the Interstate at exit number 106 (Highway 33). At the end of the ramp, turn right-- toward Baraboo.
Travel on Highway 33 for approximately 5.8 miles. At the intersection with County Highway U, turn right.
Travel on County Highway U for aproximately 2.6 miles. At the intersection with Schepp Road, turn right.
Travel on Schepp Road until it comes to a T with Levee Road (marked as Rustic Road #49.)
Turn left on the Rustic Road #49. The Leopold Center will be on the left very soon after the turn.
From US Highway 12 Northbound (from Baraboo, Madison’s west side and points south)
At the stoplight near Pierce’s Marketplace and Walgreens, turn right to take US Highway 33 (also known as 8th street or Ringling Boulevard) to the east.
Turn left (north) on County Highway T, right after the Log Cabin Restaurant.
In 5.6 miles, go straight at the stop sign intersection with County Highway U.
Cross the bridge over the interstate and take your next right, at Rustic Road #49.
The Leopold Center is approximately 2.5 miles down from the turn, on the right hand side of the road.
From Interstate 90 Eastbound (from Eau Claire, Minneapolis, St. Paul)
Get off the Interstate at exit number 92 (US Highway 12). Go East on 12, toward Baraboo.
Follow the signs for Highway 12 East toward Madison.
Take exit #214 for North Reedsburg Road. At the roundabout, take the third right to get on Reedsburg Road going east.
Go straight through the 2nd roundabout to stay on Reedsburg Road going east.
At the stop sign interection with County Highway A, go straight. Reedsburg Road becomes County Highway U.
At the stop sign intersection with County Highway T, turn left.
Cross the bridge over the Interstate and take your next right, at Rustic Road #49.
The Leopold Center is approximately 2.5 miles down from the turn, on the right hand side of the road.
From US Highway 12 at the Kalahari Resort in Wisconsin Dells
Take Kalahari Drive through the complex and under the pedestrian overpass. At the T intersection, turn right on Bunker Drive going east.
Bunker Drive merges with County Highway T just before intersecting County Highway A.
Go straight across County Highway A, staying on County Highway T headed east.
At the sharp bend in the road, turn left onto Levee Road (marked as Rustic Road #49). It is technically a left turn, but it will feel like going straight. Look for the
brown Rustic Road sign marker before the turn.
The Aldo Leopold Legacy Center is approximately 2 miles down, on the right hand side of the road.
From US Highway 12 at the Wisconsin Dells Parkway
Just across from the Top Secret Attraction (upside down house), The Wisconsin Dells Parkway intersects County Highway A.
Take County Highway A south toward Baraboo.
Pass the intersection with County Highway T that only goes to the right.
At the next intersection with County Highway T, go left (heading east).At the sharp bend in the road, turn left onto Levee Road (marked as Rustic Road #49). It is
technically a left turn, but it will feel like going straight. Look for the brown Rustic Road sign marker before the turn.
