FIRST BAPTIST CHURCH
of
“Connecting with others to Experience & Express the love of Jesus Christ!”
This is absolutely my favorite time of the year. I like the cooler temperatures, I enjoy the
family and holiday activities, and I love the season of celebration that is Christmas. It’s
my prayer that neither you nor I lose sight of the source of our celebration among all the
celebrating: the remarkable gift of our Savior, Jesus the Messiah.
Take a look at our Christmas calendar. Plan to attend our Christmas Eve Celebration
Service, and pick up a Christmas Day Family Worship Guide. With the guide, the Church
will meet in homes instead of our building. Plan to be involved in other events and
activities going on, and invite others to join you. In particular, Etta and I invite you to
our house on Saturday,
December 17 5-8pm for our First Annual Christmas Open House. This is a come-and-go
time and you are required to bring nothing. We just want to share our home and personal
lives with you. We would be honored by your attendance.
All of you have a very merry Christmas.
Michael

FBCS - Thank you for providing the delicious chicken for us. Your care, prayers and support not only
to Clarence and Imogene but also our family has meant the world to all of us. They really enjoyed
being apart of your church family. May God richly bless all of you! - Susan & Rick Janies
Church Family - I want to say thank you so much for the prayer- gram. It really inspires me to fight
through this storm. Your kindness and thoughtfulness means so much to me. God is good all the
time and ya’ll are all examples of His love. God Bless - Sandy McNeill
Friends of Children - Psalm 10:14b, “ The helpless entrusts himself to You; You are a helper of the
fatherless.” Our annual Fall Food Roundup is one of the most practical ways you demonstrate your
love for Christ and for children who cannot help themselves. Thank you so much for sharing your
love by sharing your groceries! You literally help to feed our children here at the Children’s Home for
an entire year through your faithful participation in the Roundup. Please know that your expression
of God’s heart for His children makes a difference in their lives everyday. Thanks again for all your
efforts through this year’s Fall Food Roundup. We are Grateful! Keeping God’s Children First - Dr.
Perry Hancock
