New Zealand Gourmet offers the freshest
blueberries from New Zealand for up to six months
of the year. Blueberries are grown by Gourmet
Blueberries Limited, our own farm located in
Hastings, Hawkes Bay New Zealand. This area is
renowned for its Mediterranean climate with clear
cool winters and long dry summers. We can also
offer product from Gourmet Group, our brother
operations based in California and Argentina. Our
fresh airfreight allows our product to arrive to their
destination at a high Gourmet standard.
Health Benefits:
Blueberries are low in calories, rich in
Vitamin C, a source of iron, and an excellent
source of manganese and fibre.
Blueberries are referred to as a produce
“Super Food” for their combined healthful
properties.
Many studies have shown that Antioxidants
and other compounds in the blueberry have
been implicated as preventing age related
decline of the brain, are good for eye health
and the health of other organs and tissues.
Blueberries also contain very small quantities
of Pterostilbene, a potent anti- cancer
compound.
