When you attend this workshop, you will
begin to discover that you have received
spiritual gifts from the Holy Spirit, through
Baptism and Confirmation. God intends to
reach others through you.

The Called & Gifted Workshop is a live
presentation given by two trained presenters.
The workshop includes Church teaching on
the role of the laity in the church, the nature
of spiritual gifts, and how to begin the
discernment process.
This workshop is for:
† Average parishioners
who would like to
learn more about
these spiritual gifts.
† New or returning Catholics who want to
explore what it means to live their faith as
an adult.
† Young adults 18-30 who are discerning
their call.
† People in transition – changing jobs,
empty nesters, returning to the workplace
or facing retirement.
† Parish staff and ministry leaders who want
to empower parishioners to discover and
minister out of these God-given spiritual
gifts.

charisms after the Greek term used by St. Paul

Lord Jesus, you are the center of life in our
parish. Today we ask that the spiritual gifts
you have given to members of our
community will emerge and become visible.
We call upon you to enlighten us as we
discern which charisms your Spirit has
bestowed on each individual gathered here.
Together with you may we become a channel
of God’s mercy and love for those most in
need of your care in our parish,
neighborhood, city and nation. May we be
united in community by your grace as we
become your face, hands and body here in
this place. We ask this in the name of the
Father, and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.

spiritual gifts is for you!
A charism is a spiritual gift, received from
the Holy Spirit, given for ministry to others as
a channel of God’s love and provision.
Charisms focus outward by helping others to
encounter Jesus.

Cost: $35.00 per person. Materials and light
lunch included.
Discernment Interviews:
A schedule of appointments will be available
to sign up for individual discernment
interviews from trained interviewers at the
workshop. This is an important “next step” in
the discernment process. The suggested
stipend is $20.00 each.
