Lines three and four should contain two ‘beats’ and also rhyme with one another. And, of course, the key to a memorable limerick is that it must be outrageously witty. Try your hand at composing an original limerick, but please try to keep it clean... as these will be read in mixed company on Saturday, March 17th, in the Tavern. Top entries (judged by the Crow’s Nest crew) will be read aloud and voted on by the lively crowd in the Tavern after 9pm on March 17th. R P M will entertain and preside over the judging. An Irish Sing-A-Long will continue through the night.
