Bradford Doula Project Co-ordinator
Maternity cover, (up to 12 months)
Salary £20,241, pro rata 30 hours
Action for Community Ltd (ACL) is a registered charity that aims to support people living in BD8 and
BD9 to access training and employment, tackle poverty and adopt healthier lifestyles, including
reducing health inequalities.
The charity is based at Carlisle Business Centre and the Bradford Doula Project is one of ACL’s key
projects.
As Bradford Doula Project Co-ordinator you will be responsible for co-ordinating the day-to-day
running of the project including recruiting , managing and arranging appropriate training for volunteer
doulas, matching doula volunteers and doula mums appropriately, carrying out initial assessments
within home and assessing the needs of mums to be and for liaising and networking with statutory
and voluntary sector partners to maintain referrals to the service and ensure appropriate support for
doulas, mums and their families.
As the successful candidate you will have a minimum of 3 years project management experience
including experience of working in the health or social care sector and/ or the VCS in a health and
social care setting. You will also have experience of supervising volunteers and of working with a
diverse population, including BME communities.
