SHANNON CLUB BOARD MEETING WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 12,2011 @6:30 PM @ NANINt PUBLTC LTBRARY BOARD MEMBERS PRESENT: DAVE SEBASTIAN, LAURIE HICKS & JOHN LOHRI\4AN BOARD MEMBERS ABSENT: KANDACE COPLEY & CHERYL MOULTON AME MGMT. PRESENT: CHRIS BRUYN HOMEOWNERS PRESENT: NOT APPLICABLE Meeting called to order by President Sebastian at approximately 6:31pm. A quorum was established Homeowners with Business before the Board: Not Applicable Approval of Minutes from October 28, 2010: A motion was made by l\4s. Hicks and seconded by Mr. Sebastian to approve minutes as written. Motion carried unanimously. Reading/Telephone File/Homeowner Gommunication: AME reviewed the communication from Homeowners a complaint on Violation Letter received from Lol#97 , Lol#127 's suggestion to recommend all Homeowners keep exterior lights lit an night to enhance and improve security (this will be addressed in future communication to ALL Homeowners), a request from Homeowner (Lot #44) to clean debris in wash alongside of Country Hill (Done), notification of graffiti along Shannon Rd. from Lot #17 (Mr. Sebastian will evaluate and submit estimate on repainting just the affected panels and to paint all panels from Country Hill to Canyon Crest Villas for aesthetic reasons, and Lot #49 who has volunteered to assist with projected traffic problems in the community on the 13ih and 14rh of January with the scheduled funerals at St. Elizabeth. Financials: l\4r. Lohrman reviewed financials brjefly for the year and requested any info on possible upcoming expenses. The clearing of Common Area A behind Lols#177-179 was discussed and it was noted children are beginning to dismantle the remaining wall at the cul-de-sac on Country Hjll. The Board authorized AME to contact landscaper to repair wall and plant additional cactus to deter foot traffic. Committee Reports: Poor-The topic of pool furniture was discussed again including the type of furniture most durable and yet comfortable. Ms. Hicks will contact Parks & Recreation to inquire where they purchase the plastic coated metallic benches (4 to5). AME will contact lronwood Elementary and inquire where they purchased a similarly styled "one-piece" table with attached benches and determine cost. Architectural. AIVIE reported there were no current or pending ARC requests at this time. Unfinished Business: Pool Furniture: Previously discussed under -Pool . Lot #21 ARC Requesf: Lot #21 submitted the ARC Request after the fact and it was approved. New Business: Open Board Posifions.'AME reviewed the Homeowners contacted with no definite results or agreement to run for office. The Board l\4embers in attendance will attempt to contact other Owners and AME will contact Lot #221 to determine if she's interested in serving on the Board. Increase in Pool Service. AME distributed the proposed increase from the Wright Pool service and after brief discussion, lvlr. Lohrman motioned and Ms. Hicks seconded to accept the proposed increase based on frequency of service form Wright Pools. The motion passed unanimously. Community Yard Sale. Al\4E reviewed a request from Lot #'140 to host a community-wide yard sale. This will be discussed at the Annual Meeting next month. However, lVr. Lohrman motioned and Mr. Sebastian seconded to approve an $85 maximum expenditure for advertising. The motion passed unanimously. l\4r. Sebastian agreed to assist in placing the signs once a date was set, sometime in early spring. Annual Meeting: ANIE distributed preliminary correspondence to be mailed next week for the Annual meeting as well as the Annual meeting Agenda. The Board voiced their approval. Any Other Business that comes Before the Board: AME voiced concerns on the current status of the Shannon Club Websjte and the necessity to update the information. Alter brief discussion, l\4r. Lohrman motioned and Ms. Hicks seconded to approve a previously submitted proposal to have Virginia Gott create and maintain a website for the community for $300 selup fee and $10 per month to maintain. The motion passed unanimously. AME will contact Ms. Lohrman for Domain information and the Board recommended reimbursement as well. Next Board Meeting: Thursday, February 10.2011 at Nanini Public Library @ 6:30 pM jn the large Conference Room. Adjournment: The meeting was adjourned at 7:33 pm.
