designed to optimize both
the volume of commodity
to be transported and to
maintain a higher level of
safety on the rail network.
Midland’s combination
of current products and
new designs will help our
customers meet these
challenging industry requirements, along with meeting and exceeding the
new regulations that affect the entire rail tank car fleet.
Midland has also worked closely with a variety of railroads, regulators,
shippers, railcar owners and manufacturers to devise the best solutions.
By working hand-in-hand with the companies that are manufacturing
the newest railcars, as well as the end-user of the products, Midland has
developed railcar components and fittings that will help ensure the safe
transportation, loading and unloading of Shale Oil products for years
to come.

Midland Crude Oil
A-22075 Pressure Relief Valve
Changing regulations will require higher flow
from pressure relief valves operating
on most tank cars in Crude Oil
service. Midland has developed
its valve to exceed these new
requirements. The A-22075
Pressure Relief Valve is
designed to work with a variety
of commodities, in addition to
satisfying the requirements of the
new regulations.
The A-22075 is primarily constructed
of carbon steel with a stainless-steel
stem and retainer to help reduce the
possibility of corrosion. In addition,
the valve can be produced in different
materials of construction to meet the needs of
a particular commodity.
B-612 Gaging Device
The Midland B-612 has been an
industry standard in rail tank car
gaging for more than 40 years.
The quality and consistency of
the product is proven in the field
with more than 40,000 units now in
service. Accurate level-monitoring
capabilities assure complete
loading of the commodity every
time, and help reduce the risk
of overloading the tank car
wherever it is loaded.
OPW-ES Kamvalok®,
Drylok™ Valves and Adaptor
Used at liquid-transfer points where product loss
could occur, OPW Kamvaloks® and DryloksTM
provide a reliable solution to prevent spillage
during connection or disconnection of loading
and unloading hoses and loading arms.

Vacuum Relief Valves
The vacuum relief valve is designed to allow atmospheric air to
enter the tank car and protect it from collapse when there is a
vacuum in the tank car. The new Midland Vacuum Relief Valves are
designed to keep debris out of the tank, relieve vacuum pressure
in the tank and avoid the Non-Accidental Release (NAR) of the
commodity by keeping it safely secured inside the tank.
Enhanced Valve Design
These valves have been designed based
on input from customers and to meet new
regulations from the federal government.
A-522 Ball Valve
The Midland ball valve is designed
to reliably deliver high flow and
superior wear characteristics
between requalification cycles for
the rail tank car. With thousands
of valves in service covering a
wide variety of commodities,
the A-522 is a proven design
that is able to maintain a consistent
level of performance regardless of the
commodity being transported.
Accessories
A complete range of railcar accessories is
available, including thermowells, air connections,
saddles, caps, plugs, nipples, OPW-ES Autolok™
quick couplers, OPW-ES quick coupling adaptors,
and ergonomic helpers such as lift assisters and
aluminum bottom outlet valve caps.
