Upholstery That Won’t Take A Beating
Sitting Down.
MTS offers a wide variety of styles and colors in
its upholstery program. This brochure reproduces
selected MTS textiles in grades 3 through 10. There
are hundreds more textiles available through MTS;
please refer to our website: mtsseating.com for
more information.
All upholstery materials offered by MTS meet or
exceed flammability requirements of California
117-E Class 1 and UFAC Class 1. For more
detailed specifications, contact the factory or refer
to the back of MTS upholstery swatch cards.
MTS has developed a management system for
handling COM (customer’s own material) orders.
To improve this process, MTS is pleased to offer
our COM INBOUND TRACKING SERVICE. When
a COM order is received at MTS, your Customer
Satisfaction Coordinator will fax you a questionnaire
requesting certain information to ensure prompt
processing and delivery of your COM order. Please
refer to the current MTS Workbook & Pricelist for
further details.
Our Exclusive Powdercoat Finishes Stand Up
Beautifully To Use and Handling.
MTS Thermo-set Powdercoat Finishes
Thermo-set powdercoat finishes are specially formulated for all MTS standard colors in VelveTouch,
Metaltones, Solidtones, Woodtones, Old World
Tones, Stonetones and Hammertones. Thermo-set
powdercoating is harder, smoother, more corrosionresistant and environmentally friendlier than wet
spray epoxy paints or baked enamel finishes.
The MTS Process
A multi-stage process chemically cleans and pretreats metal before finishing. A protective coating is
applied to the metal to ensure that a chemical and
a physical bond are achieved by the finish coat,
resulting in strong corrosion resistance and superior
bonding. MTS Thermo-set powders are applied
electrostatically in an environmentally controlled
application room to ensure a finish that is smooth,
even and beautiful. A final baking cycle cross-links
the powder resins, changing their molecular structure
and bonding them to the metal.
The MTS Result
The MTS process results in a uniform, thick,
resilient coating that is capable of withstanding an
impact of 160 pounds without cracking or peeling,
and takes abrasion and temperature extremes in
stride. All MTS powdercoated products exceed
BIFMA and ANSI Standards.
VelveTouch® Finish
MTS VelveTouch finish is a smoothly texured finish
that creates a velvet feel to the touch and allows
light to interact with the texture to create highlights
and interesting shade variations. (Not available on
stacking or nesting chairs.)
Metaltone Finishes
MTS Metallics feature encapsulated mica and/or
metal particles, giving the finish greater depth and
a rich appearance.
Old World Tones
Distinctive old world colors with rich textures.
Solidtone Finishes
Formulated with a special hybrid resin to create
a smooth, flexible finish.
Woodtone Finishes
The tiny flecks and striations of our woodtone
finishes mimic the natural grain of wood, adding
depth and richness.
Stonetone Finishes
Our Stonetone finishes offer all the subtle variations
and impressive character of lightly textured stone.
Hammertone Finishes
Hammertone finishes are a textured blend of metallic
highlights on a solid color field. This distinctive look
creates a textured feel.
Brushed Aluminum Finishes
This optional finish for most of the MTS Burgess
Collection is available in a number of rich, wood-like
and brushed metallic colors.
MTS Custom Color Wood Stain Capability
In addition to our eight standard MTS wood stains,
an unlimited range of custom color wood stains are
also available to meet your vision.
MTS maintains its own, in-house, custom woodstain matching program with knowledgeable
professionals to match almost any color with our
eco-friendly water-based stains.
Our unique water-based stains offer a full spectrum
of pigment options as well as unmatched depth of
color to ensure the right result for every request. By
manufacturing both chairs and tables at our facilities, we can ensure the consistency of the wood
stain color in both. The end result is a consistent
wood stain color match for your installation.
