WORKING INSTRUCTIONS
The top consists of 12 full squares and 2 half squares for the cups, all worked
separately and joined together, forming a length of 6x2 squares + the cups, with a
row in raised sc.
Square: with the 1st colour cast-on a 5 st chain and close with a loop with 1 sc
Row 1: in the loop obtained work 10 dc; end this row and all the next rows with 1 sc
in the beg. st. of the row.
Row 2: * 1 dc in the next st., 2 dc in the next st. *, rep. from * to * again 3 times,
2 dc in each of the next 2 sts.
Row 3: with the 2nd colour work * 3 tr in the next 3 sts (replace the tr at beg. of row
with 3 chs), in the next st. work: 2 tr, 2 chs and 1 tr *, rep. from * to * again 3 times.
Row 4: with the 3rd colour work * 5 tr in the 5 tr, in the next 2 ch arch work: 2 tr, 2 chs
and 1 tr; 1 tr in the next tr *, rep. from * to * again 3 times.
Row 5: with the 4th colour work * 7 tr in the 7 tr, in the next 2 ch arch work: 2 tr, 2 chs
and 1 tr; 2 tr in the next 2 dcs *, rep. from * to * again 3 times.
Break off and bind the yarn.
Work another 11 squares in the same way alternating the 4 colours as you please.
Half Square: with the cream yarn cast-on a chain of 4 sts
Row 1: in the 4th ch on the hook, work 3 tr, 2 chs and 4 tr, turn.
Row 2: with the yellow yarn work 2 tr in the next st. (replace the tr at the beg. of row
with 3 chs), 3 tr in the next 3 sts, in the next 2 ch arch work: 2 tr, 2 chs and 2 tr; 3 tr in
the next 3 sts, 2 tr in the next st., turn
Row 3: with the colour print no. 23 work 2 trs in the next st, 6 trs in the next 6
sts, and in the next 2-ch arch work 2 trs, 2 chs and 2 trs; 6 trs in the next 6 sts,
2 trs in the next st, turn
Row 4: with the colour print no. 25 work 10 trs in the next 10 sts, and in the
next 2-ch arch work 2 trs, 2 chs and 2 trs; 10 trs in the next 10 sts, turn
Row 5: with the orange yarn work 2 trs in the next st, 11 trs in the next 11 sts,
and in the next 2-ch arch work 2 trs, 2 chs and 2 trs; 11 trs in the next 11 sts, 2

Row 6: with the colour print no. 22 work 15 trs in the next 15 sts, and in the
next 2-ch arch work 2 trs, 2 chs and 2 trs; 15 trs in the next 15 sts
Break off and bind the yarn. Work another half square in the same way.
Shoulders: with the yellow yarn cast-on a chain of 114 sts + 1 to turn and work 1
row in dc
Break off and bind the yarn. Work another 3 shoulders in the same way.
MAKE UP AND FINISH
Make the top by joining the squares tog. with 1 row in raised sc, with the yellow
yarn, pick up together 1 st. of the first square and the corresponding st of the
second square, joining first the 2 horizontal rows consisting of 6 squares each
(work a single row in raised sc), then work the 6 rows of 2 vertical squares,
passing above the scs of the prev. joined row and end the top with a loop. In the
same way join the base of the 2 half squares for the cups to the upper edge of
the 3 squares making up the front, leaving free at the middle, the last tr of the last
row of the left cup and the 1st tr of the last row of the right cup. Finish the bottom
of the top with 1 row in dc working with the yellow yarn. Break off and bind the
yarn. Trim the upper edge of the back and the edges of the cups with 1 row in
dc working with the yellow yarn, then work 2 dc in the 2 ch arches at the top of
the cups. Break off and bind the yarn. Fold the shoulders in half and sew the two
ends at the top of the cups of the front and, on the back, on the opposite side
of the join between the side squares and the centre square. For each fringe, cut
three 35 cm lengths in each of the following colours: yellow, print no. 22, print
no. 23, cream and print no. 25; join the 15 threads and fold them in half; with
the crochet hook knot them at the bottom of the top; prepare 6 fringes in this way
knotting 1 fringe at each joining point of the squares.

raised sc, and 12 rows of 2 squares, passing above the scs of the prev. joined
row Now trim edge of the scarf with 1 row in dc working with the yellow yarn.
Break off and bind the yarn. For each fringe, cut three 40 cm lengths in each of
the following colours: yellow, orange, shocking pink, cream and print no. 25;
join the 15 threads and fold them in half; with the crochet hook knot them into the
margin stitch. Prepare another 6 fringe in the same way and knot 3 fringes on
each short side of the scarf.
