FL Moffett: Carson Crawford and Taylor Hines
Carson Crawford is a Kindergarten student at FL Moffett. His favorite subject is
reading. He enjoys playing baseball and playing outside. When Carson grows up he
wants to be a dirt bike racer. His teacher is Mrs. Covington. Carson was chosen as
student of the week because he always has a smile and does an excellent job in the
classroom. He follows directions and is respectful to others.
Taylor Hines is also a Kindergarten student at FL Moffett. She enjoys going to
the movies, going out to eat and playing. Her favorite place to eat is Rancho Grande.
Her favorite subject is Reading and Language Arts. Taylor wants to be a teacher
when she grows up. Her teacher is Mrs. Rogers. Taylor was chosen as student of the
week because she is conscientious, works hard, is a great listener and leader.
Center Elementary:
Gary Smith, Lah Eh Paw, Brianna Hardy, and Seth Solis
Gary Smith is in 3rd grade at CES. His favorite subject in school is math. His role models
are his parents. He says he wants to grow up to have strong character like his parents. Gary
loves to play tag at recess and also loves to play football with his friends. When he grows up,
Gary hopes to help others by becoming a police officer. Gary was chosen as student of the week
because he is that child who tends to blend in as he is always making awesome decisions. He
never draws attention to himself and actually emulates the qualities that every educator
would love to see in every child. He is a friend to all and an enemy to no one.
Lah Eh Paw is in 3rd grade at CES. Her favorite subject is math and her role model is her
cousin in Thailand that is a teacher. When she grows up, she wants to be a reading and math
teacher. Lah Eh Paw loves to draw with pencil and to look at art pictures. Lah Eh was chosen
as student of the week because having been in Center for only a short time, she has made a huge impact on her classmates and her teacher. She is described as the most helpful to others and hardest working student in the classroom. Lah
Eh’s infectious smile and loving personality make her a child with a bright future.
Brianna Hardy is a 2nd grade student at CES who loves math. She also loves to spend her free time at the beach.
When Brianna grows up, she wants to be a dentist. Her role model is her mother. She says that
she wants to grow up and take care of others like her mom does. Brianna was chosen as student of the week because she is that child that never seeks attention and does the right thing
because it is the right thing to do. When adults speak of Brianna, the words “polite,” “helpful,”
and “a joy to be around” are never far behind.
Seth Solis is a 2nd grader at CES. His favorite subject is science because it is fun. His role
model is his friend Ethan because he is funny and lots of fun. When he grows up, Seth wants to
be a truck mechanic like his dad. In his free time, he loves to hunting and fishing. Seth was
chosen as student of the week because he is one of the sweetest and most polite children that
the staff knows. He always has a smile on his face and is quick to tell everyone “good morning”
every day. You can always count on Seth to brighten even the cloudiest of days.
Center Intermediate: Isaac Rushing and Makayla Mayo
Isaac Rushing is a 5th grade student at CIS. His favorite subject is Science
and his role model is his dad. When he grows up, Isaac wants to be a paleontologist. Isaac’s hobbies and favorite school activities include recess, PE and Fine
Arts. He was chosen as student of the week because he is kind and hard working. He helps anyone who asks him. He has fantastic behavior and a great attitude for learning.
Makayla Mayo is a 5th grade student at CIS. Her favorite subject is math
and her role model is her mom. When she grows up, Makayla wants to be a
teacher. Her favorite school activities and hobbies include UIL, GT, playing outside, drawing, reading, and 4H. Makayla was chosen as student of the week because she is a joy to work with. She has great behavior and is a good leaader . If anything needs to get done, she will willingly volunteer.
Center High School: Johnny Shaw and Josey Wingo
Johnny Shaw, Jr. is a Sophomore at CHS. His favorite subjects in school
are Biology and World History because you learn about something you need
to know about life. His role model is LeBron James because he fights all the
way through the game even when his team is losing. When he grows up,
Johnny wants to be a professional football player or coach. His hobbies and
favorite school activities include playing sports, and loving the people
around him. He says the teachers are great. He really enjoys Art class. He
loves playing football, basketball, track, and powerlifting. As a freshmen,
Johnny qualified for regional in multiple events on the varsity track team
and excelled in all other sports as well. Johnny was chosen as student of the
week because he is such an awesome young man. Johnny is one of the most
respectful young men that you could have the pleasure of knowing. He is
extremely hard working and possesses the qualities that will foster success. Johnny truly represents CHS with integrity,
character, and pride. He is the kind of young man that will honestly give more of himself before he would ever ask anything of others. He possesses character and maturity well beyond his years.
Josey Wingo is a Senior at CHS. Her favorite subject is English because she loves to write and read. Her role model is
her mom because she is the best mom ever and she hopes she will grow up to be as good of a mom and wife as her mother
is to their family. When she grows up, Josey wants to be an Ultrasound Technician. She loves being around other people
and helping others and it’ll be neat to share the special moment of their child’s sonogram. Josey’s hobbies include reading, spending time with her family and friends, as well as being an active part of her church’s youth praise band. Josey is
also actively involved at CHS. While here she has played an active role as a cheerleader, Bat Girl for the baseball team,
powerlifting, floral design, class officer, yearbook staff, horticulture, choir, ag business class. Josey was chosen as student
of the week because she is an all around great young lady and student at CHS. She truly loves our school. She takes leadership roles in several different organizations. Josey is extremely polite, respectful, and kind to everyone and often puts
others happiness and interest above her own. She is a great role-model for all students in Center ISD.
