Topic: Over the term the children can conduct their own research project about Anglo Saxon times. E.g. lives and times, settlements, invasions. BBC Children’s History is a good resource to use. This can be presented in whichever way they would like. Your child will then get the opportunity to present their project to the class once it’s completed. Other Information: All parent consultation slips need to be return so that times can be allocated ASAP. Names in clothes. Please can you send your child in with a clean water bottle every day. Children keep their water bottles in the cloakroom for the following reasons: Our cloakroom is next to the water fountain, so they remember to take it home to get it washed, so we reduce the number of bottles getting lost, to reduce the risk of spilling water (either in books, or the floor or corridor – causing a disruptive hazard). Children are allowed to have regular water break throughout out the day e.g. entry into school, before/ after play and during morning play, before / after and during dinner time, before / after or during afternoon play. The longest the children go without having a drink it just over an hour. If you like a quick word just grab me at the end of the school day or for a lengthier conversation please make an appointment with the office to book an available time and date, thank you. Or use the box below to pass on simple messages. If you have any shoeboxes please can you send them in for art, thank you. Family comment/ Questions/ Messages Mr Paine KS2 Coordinator
