 Describe the main parts of the human digestive system

Describe and name the different types of human teeth
and relate the shape of these to their function. Compare and contrast human and animal teeth
 Recognise the role of the teeth in the digestive system and be able to
name and sequence the key organs of digestion such as the mouth,
stomach, small intestine and large intestine.

5. This term we will be having a Science focus.
Children will describe, sequence and investigate
the simple functions and the basic parts of the
digestive system in humans and they will identify
and name the different types of teeth in humans
and some other animals. Children will understand
how their teeth could decay and how they could
