Weather Reach Receiver Application Notes
Weather Report - Sentinel 2x Plug-in
“Weather Report” is a software plug-in for EICON’s Sentinel 2x that acquires weather data from a variety of
weather sources. The Weather Reach Receiver (model WR-7) provides weather data, ET and rainfall values for
Weather Report.
The Weather Reach System Water Management System obtains weather data from local weather stations. A
Weather Reach Signal Provider (WRSP) broadcasts a wireless weather signal to Weather Reach Receivers.
Weather information is updated with each broadcast from the WRSP. The local WRSP sets the update
frequency, which can be as often as hourly to once per day.
The WR-7 uses weather date to calculate ET. The Sentinel’s Weather Report software accesses the WR-7 via an
RS-232 serial connection at the computer. When connected to the Sentinel control system the information can
be used throughout the system.
Hardware / Software Requirements
One WR-7 provides weather data from one weather station. The WR-7 is configured as one “Weather Station”
in the Weather Report program. Products needed are listed below:
