OFFICIAL RULES
GORDY’S MARKET, INC. AND CHIP MAGNET SALSA COMPETITION
The Gordy’s Market, Inc. and Chip Magnet Salsa Competition (the “Contest”) is sponsored by Gordy’s Market,
Inc. 17158 County Hwy J, Chippewa Falls, WI 54729 and Chip Valley Salsa, LLC 800 Wisconsin Street, P.O.
Box 91 Eau Claire, Wisconsin 54703 (each a “Sponsor” and collectively, “Sponsors”). All federal, state and
local laws and regulations apply. Void where prohibited.
DATES OF PROMOTION: The Contest starts at 7:00 a.m. Central Time on Friday, April 15, 2016, and ends at
4:00 p.m. Central Time on Saturday, April 30, 2016.
ELIGIBILITY: The Contest is open only to individuals, eighteen (18) years or older at time of entry, who are
legal residents of Wisconsin. Employees of Gordy’s Market, Inc. and Chip Valley Salsa, LLC, and their
respective subsidiaries or agents, their immediate families (defined as parents, children, siblings, spouse and
grandparents), and those domiciled with any of the foregoing are not eligible to enter.
ENTRY: To enter, drop off a sample of your homemade salsa (at least 16 oz. in a covered container) labeled with
your name, address and phone number (“Sample”), along with an original recipe for your homemade salsa
(“Recipe”). Your Sample and Recipe together are your “Entry.” You must drop off your entry in person at one
of the following Gordy’s Market, Inc. locations:
Eau Claire
 Gordy’s Market Birch, 2717 Birch Street, Eau Claire, Wisconsin 54703
 Gordy’s Market West, 2615 N. Clairemont Avenue, Eau Claire, Wisconsin 54703
Chippewa Falls
 Gordy’s Market Lake Wissota, 17158 County Highway J, Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin 54729
Entries must be dropped off at one the three locations listed above during the following times (the “Entry
Period”):
 Friday, April 15, 2016 from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
 Saturday April 16, 2016 from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
 Sunday, April 17, 2016 from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
Each Recipe included with your Entry must:
 Include your name, address and phone number
 Include detailed, step-by-step preparation instructions
 List each ingredient in exact common U.S. household measurements and order of use in making the
Recipe
 Indicate cooking times and number of servings
The Recipe must be an original recipe that was created by the person entering the Contest and cannot have
previously won a contest or other promotion. The Recipe must not have been previously published, must not be
awaiting publication, nor may be submitted for publication consideration during the Contest Period.
HOW TO ENTER: You may only enter by dropping off a Sample and Recipe during the Entry Period at the
locations specified above. All information provided by entrant must be complete, true and correct. Submissions
to the Contest must be received by April 17, 2016 at 7:00 p.m. Central Time in order to be eligible. Entries
received after that date and time will be deemed ineligible to win. By entering the Contest, you are granting to
Chip Valley Salsa, LLC a worldwide, exclusive, royalty free, limited license to use the Recipe to produce and test
the salsa during the term of the Contest, and until a winner has been selected. This limited license expires at the
end of the Contest, unless you are selected as the winner (described below). Sponsors are not responsible for lost,
late, inaccurate, incomplete, damaged, illegible, or misdirected Entries. Each Entry must be submitted on an
individual basis (i.e., no team, joint, or corporate entries) and all components of the Entry must be the original
creation of the submitting participant. Only non-commercial work may be submitted. Entries may not contain
profanity, nudity, pornographic images, violent images, anti-competition messages, illegal material, or material
that violates the rights of third parties. Entries may not include confidential information, trade secrets, trademarks
or copyrighted material belonging to any person or entity other than the entrant absent a suitable license or
permission agreement, proof of which is required. Entries containing any forbidden matter or material otherwise
deemed by the Sponsors to be inappropriate will be disqualified.
WINNER SELECTION:
Round 1: After the Entry Period, a panel of judges consisting of Sponsors’ personnel will select five Entries for
consumer voting based equally upon the criteria of appearance, taste, originality, and adherence to these Official
Rules. The five semifinalists will be notified on or about April 22, 2016.
Round 2: Chip Valley Salsa, LLC will prepare the five Recipes selected by the panel of judges. The five Recipes
will be made available for consumer voting Saturday, April 30, 2016 from 10:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. at the
following Gordy’s Market, Inc. locations:

Consumers will vote for their favorite Recipe based on appearance, taste and originality.
Final Selection - At the end of Round 2, the panel of judges will award one the five contestants with the grand
prize based on the following Recipe criteria, which shall be weighted equally:

 Appearance
 Originality
 Consumer Appeal
PRIZE AWARDS: Chip Valley Salsa, LLC will package the winning contestant's Recipe with a custom label.
Gordy’s Market, Inc. will sell the Recipe at all Gordy’s Market, Inc. locations for one year, starting on or around
July 1, 2016 (the “Sale Period”). The winner will receive (1) $0.50 for each jar of salsa sold by Gordy’s Market,
Inc. during the one year period; and (2) a gift card to Gordy’s Market, Inc. for $50. The estimated prize value
from sales of salsa is $1,000.00 based on the sale of 167 cases of salsa (12 jars per case) sold during the Sale
Period. Gordy’s Market, Inc. will purchase the salsa from Chip Valley Salsa, LLC on an as needed basis.
The winner will be notified of the final prize on or about May 5, 2016. Sponsors will mail the gift card to the
winner within 7-10 days of the winner signing and returning the winner’s Affidavit (defined below). The first
royalty payment will be paid to the winner via check no later than August 31, 2016. Subsequent royalty payments
will be paid within 30 days of Chip Valley Salsa, LLC’s receipt of payment from Gordy’s Market, Inc. for salsa
purchased. The final royalty payment will be made within 30 days after expiration of the Sale Period. No prize
substitution or transfer is permitted, except that Sponsors reserve the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater
value, for any reason. Sponsors are required by law to report prize values to taxing authorities; all taxes and any
other incidental expenses on prizes are the sole responsibility of each winner.
PRIZES MAY BE SUBJECT TO TAX; ALL APPLICABLE TAXES ARE THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE
WINNER.
PRIZE CONDITIONS
By entering, you agree to be bound by these Official Rules, and that the decisions of the judges are final and
binding in all respects. The Sponsors reserve the right not to select any winning submissions based upon the
quality or content of submissions. The winner will be required to sign and return a sworn Affidavit of Eligibility,
Limited License and Liability and Publicity Release (“Affidavit”) under which the winner grants Chip Valley
Salsa, LLC, and its subsidiaries and affiliates, an exclusive, worldwide, royalty free limited license to use the
Recipe to produce and sell the winning salsa beginning on the date the winner executes the Affidavit and ending
upon expiration of the Sale Period. Under the terms of the Affidavit, the winner also agrees to grant Chip Valley
Salsa, LLC a limited right of first refusal under which he or she agrees not to sell, transfer or assign his or her
interest in the Recipe unless it first offers Chip Valley Salsa, LLC the right to purchase the Recipe on mutually
agreeable terms for a period of 120 days after expiration of the Sale Period. Chip Valley Salsa will have sole and
exclusive control over the manufacture and sale of product made by the Recipe. All rights from the sale of
product by Chip Valley Salsa, and the goodwill associated therewith, inure to the benefit of Chip Valley Salsa. If
required documentation is not returned within seven (7) business days of notification, or if notification is returned
as undeliverable, any prize will be forfeited and an alternate winner will be selected.
GENERAL RULES & LIMITATIONS: By entering a Recipe, you represent that: (i) your Entry is your own
original work; and (ii) you own or have the rights to convey any and all right and title in any material submitted as
part of your entry into the Contest. By entering the contest, you grant to Sponsors an exclusive, worldwide,
royalty-free license to edit, publish, promote, republish at any time in the future and otherwise use your name and
likeness, in any and all media for any purpose, without further permission, notice or compensation (except as set
forth in these Official Rules or where prohibited by law). By participating in the Contest, you agree to release
Sponsors and their respective parent companies, affiliates, subsidiaries, employees, directors, officers, and agents
from any and all liability, claims or actions of any kind whatsoever for injuries, damages or losses to persons and
property which may be sustained in connection with the receipt, ownership, possession, use, or misuse of any
prize. Sponsors are not responsible for errors or problems which may occur in connection with the Contest,
whether technical, mechanical, typographical, printing, human or otherwise, including, without limitation, errors
or problems which may occur in connection with the administration of the Contest, the processing or judging of
entries, the announcement of the prizes, in any Contest-related materials, or that may limit prize fulfillment or a
participant’s ability to enter the Contest. Sponsors reserve the right to amend these Official Rules and to
disqualify permanently from the Contest any person it believes has intentionally violated these Official Rules.
Agreement to Official Rules: By entering the Contest, each entrant fully and unconditionally agrees to and
accepts these Official Rules and the decisions of the Sponsors, which are final and binding in all matters related to
the Contest. Sponsors may disqualify any entrant which Sponsors, in their sole discretion, deems to be out of
compliance with these Official Rules.
WINNER’S LIST: For the names of prize winners, send a self-addressed, stamped No. 10 envelope to: “Gordy’s
Market, Inc. and Chip Magnet Salsa Competition” Prize Winners, c/o Chip Valley Salsa, LLC 800 Wisconsin
Street, P.O. Box 91, Eau Claire, Wisconsin, 54703. All requests for the winners list must be received by
September 1, 2016.
