An increasing number of top companies are using the Enneagram as a powerful tool
to quickly and effectively understand, motivate and lead their teams. It is also being
used in both training programs and organizational change initiatives because the
system provides such a thorough foundation for understanding why people behave
in the ways that they do.

Bank, the CIA, Toyota, Motorola and Spar. Many universities are incorporating the
Enneagram in their business curriculum, for example, Stanford University, UCLA, and
Antioch University.

The system sheds light quickly and accurately on the gifts of each individual and how
best to manage each style. Business applications include communication, feedback,
conflict resolution, team development, leadership development, coaching, decisionmaking, motivation, diversity, culture change and strategic planning.
So what is the enneagram? The enneagram (‘any-a-gram’) is a model of human
personality which presents nine different types of people. It describes nine different
ways of seeing and being in the world. In Greek, ennea means ‘nine’ and gramma
means ‘something written or drawn’, hence the enneagram is a diagram with nine
points on it, each representing nine distinct personalities or enneatypes.
This is not about putting anyone in a ‘box’. Your enneatype is not who you are; it is
what you habitually and consistently do. The goal is to free you from your ‘box’ by
understanding your unique gifts but also the habits that do not serve you well. With
self-awareness you can begin to understand why you behave the way you do. You
discover your enneatype by recognising your inner motivations, beliefs about the
world, basic fears and patterns of thinking and feeling.

PERSONAL, PROFESSIONAL AND TEAM DEVELOPMENT
WITH THE ENNEAGRAM
Tim is accredited with two international companies who have developed an online
test based on the enneagram – the E-scale and the IEQ (Integrative Enneagram
Questionnaire). Clients complete a 30 minute online assessment and later receive a
detailed personal report.
The Team Report will be analysed by Tim with the team and includes things like
conflict, decision making, leadership & management and team behaviour.
The Team Report maps each individual and team leader on the enneagram and
includes a strain profile of the team. The team report combines each team member’s
report and helps teams understand each other and work more effectively with each
other and the team leader. At least a half-day session is necessary to share these
insights and discuss the implications. The team report is a great component of team
building days or weekends.
The Integrative Enneagram Questionnaire (IEQ) is the key to unlocking individual,
team and organisational health and effectiveness. The IEQ combines accuracy,
scalability and depth of insight to enable you to work with and resolve numerous
issues. It is helpful for:
