MOTHER (1874-1954)
When I think of my mother, Cathrine Rigby, a lot of things come to my mind such
as:
homemade bread baking
a front apron
a broach
a green sofa
sugar cookies
striking clock
a firm lecture
food grinder
a gentle kiss
donuts
carpet slippers
,J strong testimony
(the song she sang so often: "I Was Down By the Beach in the Summer,")
These are the things that made home for me and that made my mother so dear,
I'm thankful for her faith, her prayers, her trust, her testimony and for just being
(here to rely on, She worked for me, looked after me, forgave my weaknesses and
understood me, I miss her peaceful presence. Her influence and her memory are
my guiding lights. I know that what a mother sings to the cradle goes all the way
down to the grave. A big thank you to my dainty beautiful mother.
