Cynthia Cheng and her principal, Kim Heckman, jointly received a Book Grant from the
National Committee for Latin and Greek at the June meeting in Williamsburg VA. Ms. Cheng is
a student at Pershing Middle School, where she will use this grant as she creates a three-year
Latin curriculum for Pershing students. Her goal is to enrich the education of students by
exposing them to the study of the ancient world.
