Certification: Students will be certified in Middle Childhood through Early Adolescent Level, 6-13 years old – approximately grades 1-8
The following courses meet General Education and Department of Public Instruction Requirements.
Foundation Level of General Education Program: This level must be completed no later than 60 credits (except for Math 338
and Math Ed 229 and 338/339)

Early Childhood Education and Education courses taken more than 10 years prior to student teaching may not be applied to the program
requirements. Students may appeal the currency of courses. The ADSOE will convene a review panel of appropriate faculty/advising staff to
make a decision about that appeal.

All students will be required to pass a state mandated content test and reading test in order to apply to student teach.
Note: "P" in front of a course number indicates that student must be accepted into the Professional Education Program in order to enroll in the
