We arrive in Dubai early afternoon after our flight from Australia. On arrival in the land of wealth, opulence,
skyscrapers, luxurious hotels and resorts we transfer to the MSC Splendid for boarding.
Departure from Dubai at 23.00 for Abu Dhabi.

Leaving the ship we meet up with our English speaking guide and proceed to the iconic Burj Khallifa, the tallest
structure in the world. We begin our vertical ascent to the observation deck in a high-speed elevator, travelling
at 10 metres per second. As the doors open on level 124, floor-to-ceiling glass walls provide a breath-taking
unobstructed 360-degree view of the city, desert and ocean. After making the return journey to the base of Burj
Khalifa we spend time at the Dubai Mall located at the foot of the Burj Khalifa and stretching across 1.1 million
sq/mt, making it the world’s largest shopping, entertainment, and leisure destination. We can shop at more than
1,200 retail outlets, take a stroll through the Dubai Aquarium and Underwater Zoo. The 10 million-litre tank at the
Dubai Aquarium is one of the largest in the world, containing more than 33,000 aquatic animals and the largest
collection of sand tiger sharks anywhere. Rising to the third floor of The Dubai Mall, the aquarium is home to 140
species of sea life and offers several ways to experience underwater life, starting with a stroll through a 48-metre
walk-through tunnel. It’s a complete fish-eye view, with sand tiger sharks and stingrays swimming overhead. Why
not discover the challenges and exhilaration of flying the largest commercial aeroplane on The Emirates A380
Experience, a cutting edge flight simulator. Also delight the senses by experiencing one of The Dubai Fountain’s
daily performances, a dance show of water reaching up to 140 metres high, accompanied by syncing lights and
music! Later transfer back to the ship for dinner and overnight.

Day 8. Saturday 10 March: Full Day Old & New Dubai Highlights Tour

After a leisurely breakfast we disembark the ship for a full day city tour of old and new Dubai. During this tour
we will witness many of the local iconic attractions. We drive pass the Union House before our visit to Al Farooq
Mosque. We then head to the sunny Jumeriah Beach to view the famous and imposing landmark ‘Burj Al Arab’
of Dubai. The distinctive sail-shaped silhouette of Burj Al Arab Jumeirah is more than just a stunning hotel, it is
a symbol of modern Dubai. We continue our journey with a drive on Palm Island and stop for a photo in front
of Dubai’s biggest hotel - Atlantis before lunch at the hotel. After lunch we depart the Atlantis Hotel and take
the Palm Island mono rail to the Dubai Marina. We then drive through Skeikh Zayed road, viewing the modern
high rise buildings which include the business bay. We drive past the Ruler’s Palace and historic the Bastakia
settlement, ancient wind towered houses built by those wealthy merchants who came and settled somewhere
after the 1890`s. A short drive takes us to the 210 year old Al Fahidi Fort which exhibits its fascinating past inside
its museum. We cross the Dubai creek by ‘Abra’ the famous traditional water taxi before visiting the famous Spice
Souk and Gold Souk. After an exciting day we check into our Dubai hotel with dinner at own cost.

Day 9. Sunday 11 March: 1/2 Day Sharjah Tour - Arabian Sahara Desert Night Adventure Breakfast & Dinner
This morning after breakfast we meet up with our English speaking guide and enjoy a half day tour of Sharjah,
the cultural centre of the Emirates, known for its major museums, distinctive landmarks and elegant mosques rich
in art and tradition and the Al Qasba Wheel “The Majestic Eye Of The Emirates”. Only 20 minutes from Dubai
Sharjah is a United Arab Emirate traditionally more conservative than its southern neighbour, Dubai. Sharjah
is widely considered the nation’s cultural capital. Its Heritage Area is on the creek that the city first developed
around, with restored homes and museums devoted to Emirati customs. It’s also home to Sharjah Fort, a 19thcentury royal residence turned local history museum. After our morning tour we head back to the hotel for some
free time and freshen up. Later this afternoon we are transferred by private coach to the Sahara Desert Camp for
our Arabian Night Adventure which includes a “traditional Arabic welcome”, 5 star Buffet BBQ Dinner, live shows
and entertainment, camel rides, henna painting, horse rides plus more. After dinner we head back to our hotel for
a good nights rest.

Day 10 Monday 12 March: Breakfast With Champions - Arabian Dhow Cruise

This morning enjoy a sleep in or tour the state of the art Meydan Race Course, home of the world famous
US$10 Million Dubai World Cup. Known as “the richest day in horseracing” with prize money for the 9 races
to just under US$30 million! We begin our day at The Meydan Hotel with a five-star buffet–style breakfast at
Farriers Restaurant and watch the racehorses during morning track-work. We take a guided tour of the stables
where horses are groomed and conditioned. We see horses exercise in the equine swimming pool and learn how
they are prepared for race-day. Go behind-the-scenes at the Meydan Grandstand, and gain exclusive access to
the Jockeys’ Room, Saddling Paddock and Parade Ring. Visit the gift and souvenirs shop at Gate B and purchase
official Dubai World Cup merchandise. After our tour we return to our hotel around midday and enjoy the rest of
the day at leisure.
Day 10 continued
After a relaxing afternoon we are transferred from our hotel by private coach to Dubai Marina to board our delightful
Arabian Dhow Farewell Dinner Cruise. During this eye opening 2hr cruise we will take in the most mesmerizing
and multi-million dollar views one could imagine. After our cruise we are transferred back to our hotel for a good
nights rest.

Day 11 Tuesday 13 March: Dubai - Australia
Breakfast
After breakfast this morning we transfer to the Dubai Airport for check in and flight back home to Australia via
Singapore.

We arrive back into Australia after our wonderful adventure of the Arabian Peninsula and United Arab Emirates
with Trade Travel.
