Commercial waste and recycling services Why recycle your waste? • Recycling with Merton Council is up to 30% cheaper than sending it to be buried in landfill. • Sending materials to landfill is a waste of natural resources and creates poisonous gases, which contribute to global warming. • Every business, no matter how big or small, has a duty of care to dispose of waste through a licensed waste carrier. • The Pre-treatment regulations introduced in October 2007 require waste to go through some form of process to reduce its environmental impact before being disposed of to landfill. A simple way to do this is to separate items for recycling, more information on waste regulations can be found at www.netregs.gov.uk Safe and responsible waste management commercial waste Recycling is collected from your designated reycling bin Recycling is delivered to a Materials Recovery Facility. 4 Materials are processed into new products Please contact us for a free quotation 3 All material streams are separated Large print Braille Your contact: …………………………………...
