Decision on Types of Foreign Exchange and Foreign Cash to

Based on Article 14, paragraph 1, item 9 and Article 45, paragraph 2 of
the Law on the National Bank of Serbia (RS Official Gazette, Nos 72/2003,
55/2004, 85/2005  other law, 44/2010 and 76/2012), and with reference to
Article 38 of the Law on Foreign Exchange Operations (RS Official Gazette,
Nos 62/2006 and 31/2011), the Executive Board of the National Bank of
Serbia hereby issues
DECISION
ОN THE TYPES OF FOREIGN EXCHANGE AND FOREIGN CASH TO BE
PURCHASED AND SOLD IN THE FOREIGN EXCHANGE MARKET
1. This Decision sets forth the types of foreign exchange and foreign
cash to be purchased and sold in the foreign exchange market by banks, the
National Bank of Serbia and a public postal operator – resident performing
exchange operations based on a separate law governing its activity
(hereinafter: public postal operator), as well as by resident legal entities and
entrepreneurs licensed to perform exchange operations (hereinafter: licensed
exchange dealers).
2. Banks may purchase and sell the following types of foreign exchange
and foreign cash in the foreign exchange market:
1) Australian dollar
2) Canadian dollar
3) Danish krone
4) Japanese yen
5) Kuwaiti dinar
6) Norwegian krone
7) Russian ruble
8) Swedish krona
9) Swiss franc
10) Pound sterling
11) US dollar
12) Euro
13) Chinese yuan renminbi
(AUD),
(CAD),
(DKK),
(JPY),
(KWD),
(NOK),
(RUB),
(SEK),
(CHF),
(GBP),
(USD),
(EUR),
(CNY).
In addition to foreign cash specified in paragraph 1 hereof, banks may
also purchase and sell the following types of foreign cash in the foreign
exchange market:

Czech koruna
Hungarian forint
Convertible mark
Polish zloty
(HRK),
(CZK),

(BAM),
(PLN).
3. The National Bank of Serbia may purchase and sell the following
types of foreign exchange in the foreign exchange market:
1) Australian dollar
2) Canadian dollar
3) Danish krone
4) Japanese yen
5) Norwegian krone
6) Russian ruble
7) Swedish krona
8) Swiss franc
9) Pound sterling
10) US dollar
11) Euro
12) Chinese yuan renminbi
(AUD),
(CAD),
(DKK),
(JPY),
(NOK),
(RUB),
(SEK),
(CHF),
(GBP),
(USD),
(EUR),
(CNY).
The National Bank of Serbia may purchase and sell the following
types of foreign cash in the foreign exchange market:
1) Euro
2) US dollar
3) Swiss franc
(EUR),
(USD),
(CHF).
4. When performing exchange operations, a licensed exchange dealer,
as well as a public postal operator, which has entered into agreement on the
performance of exchange operations with a bank and/or several banks may
purchase and sell the following types of foreign cash in accordance with such
agreement and the regulation on the terms and conditions for performing
exchange operations:

5. As of the entry into force hereof, the Decision on the Types of Foreign
Exchange and Foreign Cash to Be Purchased and Sold in the Foreign
Exchange Market (RS Official Gazette, Nos 24/2007, 116/2008 and 20/2010)
ceases to be valid.
6. This Decision enters into force on the eighth day following its
publication in the RS Official Gazette.
