DESCRIPTION + REQUIREMENTS This role requires lots of networking and relationship building over coffee, lunch and the occasional adult beverage where we have a chance to show off our portfolio of incredible work. The Director of Business Development’s role is pretty self-explanatory: Be everywhere in the community and build strong business relationships to create the most opportunities. Our sales team is involved in every networking club/mixer/breakfast/dinner/lunch they come across. Constantly creating relationships that go further than a simple exchange of business cards is what we do. So thinking on your feet, taking ownership and excellent work ethic are all imperative for this position. We’d like for you to have a college degree and lots of prior business development experience (unfortunately, Avon doesn’t count). This position involves a good mix of business development and account management throughout the project timeline, and showing our awesome clients what separates us from other firms: Providing exceptionally attentive customer service. EXTRA STUFF No first timers here please. We prefer a proven track record in B2B sales and we’ll ask you to prove it. SnapShot is a team environment so you’ve got to play nice and enjoy working with others. We like to keep things interesting and are always moving our business forward through daily, bi-weekly, quarterly and yearly goal setting. The most important piece of the puzzle will be experience in the interactive world. Experience in either advertising or marketing is a huge plus for becoming a part of the team. SCORECARD The mission of the Director of Business Development is to increase sales revenues in the next 12 months by cultivating new relationships into 60 sales opportunities and obtaining $384,000. We expect the Director of Business Development to be involved with at least four professional networking groups and hold a board position with at least one. Once a sale is secured and client has signed off on a proposal, the Director of Business Development will act as an Account Manager working with Client Services to ensure clients’ expectations are met and SnapShot has everything needed from the client throughout project development. OUTCOMES 1. Sign-up 60 new clients and produce $384,000 in revenue in the next 12 months. 2. Expectations for Business Development / Networking A. Set up two networking meetings per day with at least one decision maker. B. Entrench into four business/networking groups and take on at least one board position for one of these groups. C. Complete one SnapShot Interactive Marketing presentation per quarter. (Lunch & Learns, conferences, etc.). D. Post all completed and assigned projects to your personal LinkedIn with your own voice. E. Send all client “Thank You” books upon project completion. F. Lead projects in coordination with Client Services to ensure SnapShot Over-Delivers Unexpected Experiences. G. Director of Business Development will schedule a client meeting with all active clients they represent. ($20K+ quarterly, <$20K bi-annually). H. Keep up with all contacts in our CRM – Zoho and import into our email platform – Emma for email communications. 3. Sundry Items of Reference A. All projects secured by the Director of Business Development will be paid at the following commission rate: a. 8% on Inbound Sales (i.e. web lead, incoming phone lead, SSI referral, etc.), b. 15% on Outbound Sales (cold call, sole prospecting, etc.). B. All Commission payments are paid 50% upon deposit receipt and 50% upon final payment receipt. C. After first year of service with SnapShot, Director of Business Development will pay 50% of the cost out of commissions for networking group membership. (unless approved by SSI beforehand). D. If Director of Business Development resigns position or is terminated for any reason, commissions will be paid only for completed projects through the following payroll. E. Entertainment budget is $250 / month. 4. Create unexpected experiences for our clients as measured by an achievement score of 8 of 10 rated by client via satisfaction survey conducted by SnapShot.
