Examinations
Now you can perform
emboli detection
automatically, with the
highest accuracy, using the bi-gate method bilaterally. Time differences between
the appearance of emboli in the two gates is calculated (see left display).
This enables differentiation between real emboli and artifact. Artifact rejection
is just as accurate, decreasing off-line work to a minimum. Sound replaying
capabilities allow for positive emboli validation.
Using Four-View’s™ four channels, you carry out a bilateral examination
with two different depth gates on each side. In addition, you may examine
one side using four doppler gates at different depths, supporting the vasculature
scan. Four-View™ supports multiple operating modes, including multi-frequency,
extracranial and peripheral examinations. In multi-frequency mode, any
combination of two probes can be simultaneously used. The 4 and 8MHz
probes can be used for extracranial (carotid) and peripheral examinations.
Four-View™ is the ultimate combination: improved performance together
with greater efficiency.
The monitoring software is designed to save
time and support advanced clinical tasks. You can
trend information from the doppler spectrum together
with signals from other instruments, receiving a more
complete picture.
You intuitively and swiftly configure monitoring
parameters to your specific needs: what will be
monitored and how. All you have to do is choose a
menu command, and tailor a pre-defined events list
(”PDEL”) to your preferred protocols.
A simple click on a pre-defined event generates a
marker and all the data relevant to this event will be
recorded. The same procedure is followed when an
embolus is detected or parameters move beyond the
defined range.
Once completing the monitoring session, you see
a list of detected events on-screen. By clicking on
the event, you call up a presentation of the recorded
spectrum together with trend data. Another click
and you export a single event or the entire
monitoring data as ASCII file. You can now correlate
data from different physiological parameters
without requiring sophisticated, expensive, datacollection systems. You gain a full picture rapidly
and affordably, providing patients with the best
possible diagnostic capabilities at a reasonable
cost. If you are engaged in research, Four-View™
data is the basis for complex mathematical analysis.
For both clinical and research applications, slides
and presentations based on the screen images
can be easily generated using standard
Windows™ commands.
