Love the Earth!
Did you know? The average adult receives 41 pounds of junk mail
each year. 44% goes to the landfill unopened. On average, we receive 16 pieces of junk mail a week, compared to only 1.5 personal letters. The majority of household waste consists of
junk mail. Beginning in April, Clairmont Oaks will replace the
trash cans located by the resident mail boxes with a “recycle” bin.
Please support our community effort in this very easy, Earth
saving change.
Also, you are invited to attend a “gourd bird house craft
workshop” on Friday, April 21st at 1:00 pm.
The bird houses will be hung around our property and local parks
to encourage bird activity.
Please sign up at the Front Desk under “Specials”.
Storytelling at the Oaks
Begins Monday, April 24th at 2:00 pm in Fellowship Hall
Please join volunteers, Mai Cavelli and Julia Kneeland for a wonderful time of
sharing stories. Each month we will select a theme to guide our stories. In April
we will focus on “Where were you raised and what is one of your most
treasured memories about that place?” Please write down some notes about
your story ahead of time and bring those with you. And, if you just like to listen
to stories, come and be part of the audience!

Important Reminder:
When you have a serious medical
emergency and need the services of the
EMT’s, you are not required to call the
Front Desk first for assistance.
If you are able, you or your family
member or caregiver with you, can call
911 to initiate the needed emergency
service and expedite the arrival of the
EMT’s.
Use your pull cord, or call the front
desk to alert us so that we can come to
your apartment and assess your
situation, following all established
Clairmont Oaks’ emergency protocols.
To Medical Alert System subscribers,
press your call button for emergency
support. If you provided your service
with the Clairmont Oaks phone
number, the service will call us to alert
us of your emergency.
