Cell Organelle Flash Cards

Purpose:
In this activity, you will use the information from your notes (the chart in your Chapter 2 notes) to create 13 flash
cards. You should create one card for each of the 12 organelles and one for the cell membrane. These cards will
be used to help you prepare for the Midterm Exam, Final Exam, and EOCT, so take your time and put forth a good
effort.
Instructions:
Using the internet, research pictures of each organelle/structure
- your first card is your cover card
~ include your name and period
- for the organelles and cell membrane card:
- on one side of the index card, place the picture of the organelle
~ the picture may be drawn or printed (do not repeat pictures)
~ white-out all words and labels so that there is only a picture
~ do not staple the picture to the card
- on the other side of the index card, write the name of the part and its description (from your
notes)
~ descriptions must be handwritten
- number each card
- bind the cards together (ex: punch a hole in the corner and tie with a string); do not staple, clip,
or rubber band them together
You may use any type or size index card (colored index cards are okay too). Most importantly, your cards must be
neat and reflect a good effort.
