The Red Oak Chamber and Industry Association
would like to invite you to participate in the Hot
Dog Eating Contest during Junction Days 2015
“Home is Where the Heart Is.”
All contestants must have registration filled out
and signed before participating in the contest.
Anyone under the age of 18 must have permission
from their parent or guardian along with their
signature on this form.
Please submit registration forms to the ROCIA
office.

*Please complete all areas of the registration form and return to the
ROCIA office.
The Rules:
1) Contestants may not touch the Hot Dogs until the starting signal.
2) Only entire Hot Dogs eaten will be counted (an entire Hot Dog includes the bun).
3) Contestants will have 10 minutes to down all the Hot Dogs they can
handle.
4) Contestants may drink water while eating their Hot Dogs.
5) Buns and Hot Dogs may be separated, dunked or mangled. All portions
of the Hot Dog (including the bun) must be eaten.
6) When the 10 minute time limit is up, contestants may not put any additional Hot Dogs or Buns in their mouths. They will then have 20 seconds to swallow what is in their mouths. Any contents remaining in
contestant’s mouth at the end of the 20 seconds will not be counted.
7) Partially eaten Hot Dogs will not be counted.
8) Visible signs of sickness will result in disqualification.
9) Ties will be decided by an “eat off”.

All registrants must read and sign this waiver before entering:
I know that eating large amounts of Hot Dogs is a potentially hazardous and uncomfortable activity. I should not enter
and eat unless I am medically capable and properly trained. I also realize that this is all in good fun, but I agree to be a
good sport. I agree to abide by any decision of the contest officials and any and all of the contest rules. I assume all risks
associated with eating in this type of event including, but not limited to, indigestion, that stuffed feeling, contact with other
contestants, a general dislike for Hot Dogs after I am done, and all such risks being known and appreciated by me. Having
read this waiver and knowing these facts and in consideration of you accepting my entry, I, for myself and anyone entitled
to act on my behalf, waive and release the Association office, Board of Directors, staff, volunteers, contest organizers, all
sponsors, their representatives and their successors from all claims of liabilities of any kind arising out of my participation
in this event.
