DriveNews TD 120 K2

DriveNews TD 120 K2
Drive-News Antenna System
The DriveNews™ TD-120 K2 is a fully motorized,
offset, Ka-band autopointing antenna system with
a 120cm aperture reflector equipped with a 20W
Ka-band transceiver and a shell for protection
against weather influences and to improve vehicle
performance. With the universal antenna controller,
the system offers instant high performance, plug
and play modem agnostic satellite connectivity.
Anywhere you are, anywhere you go.

Drive-News Antenna System
The DriveNews™ TD-120 K2
systems is a professional,
and
high
performance
antenna
compact
antenna.
The antenna system includes an 120 cm
diameter Ka-band reflector and a feedsystem powered with a 20W Ka-band
transceiver. A 2-axis positioner provides
full rotation and is entirely backlash free in
elevation, azimuth (circular polarization).
The lightweight construction and compact
installation on top of any kind of vehicle,
makes it the ideal choice for fast news
gathering (SNG) or VSAT applications such
as Video/Media Exchange via Satellite,
disaster relief, emergency communication,
enterprisecommunications,boardercontrol,
corporate networks or military satcom.
The systems comes with the universal TAC350 antenna control unit (ACU) as standard,
which can fully control the system locally
via handheld or remotely through tablet
PC and which supports any satellite and
works with any modem technology (FDMA,
TDMA, MF-TDMA, NCW). The auto pointing
features
with the
“One
Touch”
operation capability makes it easy the daily
operation in any condition and environment.
The TAC-350 ACU controls the antenna
system with a very quick autonomous
autopointing capability, which can even
track satellite orbits with high inclination
angles (Step Track, Intelligent Track™).
The fast and accurate pointing is achieved
through a DVB receiver built inside
the ACU (altenatively satellite beacon
receiver), a GPS-system, an electronic
inclinometer, an electronic compass and
high precission resolvers (Digital 16bit A/D).
The DriveNews™ TD-120 K2 comes with
a 20W Ka-band transceiver which is
modem agnostic. This combination of
high performance antenna system, a
precission antenna control unit and a 20W
Ka-band transceiver allows high-speed
two-way performance Satellite-On-TheHalt (SOTH) with any Ka-band satellite.
