The U.S. Census Bureau collects data for the American Indian and Alaska
Native (AIAN) population and publishes specific counts, estimates, and
statistics. My Tribal Area gives you quick and easy access to selected
statistics from the American Community Survey (ACS). The ACS provides
detailed demographic, social, economic, and housing statistics every year for
the nation’s communities.
My Tribal Area is a NEW data tool!

Preview launched in November 2016 and the full launch is scheduled for
April 2017.
•
Features 2011-2015 ACS 5-year estimates at the reservation and tribal area
level.
•
Users can utilize a type-ahead search and also search by state for tribal
areas.
•
The full launch will include the ability to download, share and print data as well
as embed the application.

People: Sex and Age, Race, Veteran Status, Disability Status of the
Civilian Noninstitutionalized Population, Residence 1 Year Ago, Place
of Birth, Ancestry
Workers: Employment Status, Commuting to Work, Occupation,
Industry, Class of Worker

Estimates will be updated
automatically with new
releases.
Housing: Housing Occupancy, Housing Tenure, Year Householder
Moved into Unit, Value, Mortgage Status, Selected Monthly Owner
Costs, and Gross Rent
Financial: Income and Benefits, Health Insurance Coverage,
and Percentage of Families and People Whose Income in the
Past 12 Months is Below the Poverty Level
Education: School Enrollment, Educational Attainment
