Elemental analysis at micrometric scale

The MEEP from IVEA has been developed
to offer you a unique tool to perform
elemental chemical analysis under
standard optical microscope. It does
enable you to expertize visually your
material, to accurately choose your region
of interest and, in one click, switch from
visualization to the elemental analysis.
The innovative technology used is the Laser Induced Breakdown Spectroscopy (LIBS).
Coupled to a classic optical microscope, the spatial resolution of analysis can be better than
8µm.
Features and Benefits
Fully integrated: a micro LIBS key-en-hand system
Fast: instant measurement, no sample preparation
Suitable for optical microscope: elemental analysis with your optical expertise
UV laser ablation at 266nm: greater efficiency and reproducibility of the plasma
Optical beam shaping with integrated attenuator: control of the energy delivered to the
sample
Automatic temperature control of the detection system: reproducibility of the results
AnaLibs : dedicated software for the acquisition and the automatic data treatment
Applications
The MEEP enables you to analyse any type of solids that
you can observe with your microscope without any
additional preparation: metals, polymers, ceramics, thin
films, rocks, biological samples in metallomics applications,
glasses, conducting and isolating materials etc.
