Systems Development for Electronic Stability Control Systems Value-Added Functions for Ford projects
Major Duties Include: Embedded algorithm component development for
one or more active-safety control functions, project component
integration and maintenance of existing algorithm/software components.
Support all phases of the development process from requirements to
in-vehicle validation. Understand and negotiate specifications, design
and implement algorithms, create and execute test plans, support
applications, maintain existing software, and support analysis of in-field
issues. Essential Functions: Customer requirement
analysis/engineering, function design and design reviews,
implementation and implementation reviews, problem solving, lab and
in-vehicle function testing, time management and communication skills
are all essential functions. Some travel to support in-vehicle testing at
both winter and summer test tracks in the U.S. along with customer
meetings required.
Basic Requirements
•Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Physics or related
Discipline
•0-3 years’ experience (combination of industry or academic including
advanced degree), with methods and tools for function and software
development (such as Matlab/Simulink, C/C++, ASCET-SD), ideally for
Brake Control Systems with Software background/Embedded Control
Systems
Preferred Requirements
•A passion for vehicles
•Experience with in-vehicle testing
•Practical (hands on) experience with vehicle controls
•CAN network experience and Automotive Chassis Controls and
Hardware development experience
•Knowledge of ISO 26262 and FMEA, and Knowledge of Software
development quality/release processes for automotive mass production
(FMEA, DRBFM) is a plus
•Possible international travel to India and/or Germany.
