Why did i
choose PTSD?
I chose to research about
PTSD because i wanted to
know more about what is
PTSD and how it’s
triggered. PTSD is a
interesting subject to me
and caught my eye and
made me want to
understand it more and
know who else other than
veterans experience it.
What is PTSD?
PTSD stands for Post Traumatic stress
Disorder. PTSD is a severe anxiety disorder
following a traumatic event.
EX: military combat, sexual
assault, etc.
It is diagnosed in people who have
“experienced,witnessed, or were
confronted with an event or events
that involved actual or threatened
death or serious injury, or a threat to
the physical integrity of self or
others”, and have responded with
“intense fear,helplessness,or
horror”.

witnessed something life
threatening and leaves
upsetting
memories
