Request for tender to undertake all or part of Councils 2013/14 Capital Footpath Paving program as
directed,

Railway Terrace, Lock - 48 meters x 1.6 meters and 6 meters x 13 meters
North Terrace, Lock – 120 meters x 1.6 meters
Pram Ramps x 3
Possible projects yet to be confirmed and may proceed in 2013 / 2014,



BACKGROUND INFORMATION
Tender prices are required for the following items,

Supply and delivery of pavers per m2
Base excavation to 100mm below kerb and disposal per m2
Sub-base crusher-fine fill and compaction to 50mm below kerb per m2
Laying of pavers, concrete haunching and paving sand per m2
Application and compaction of a 30mm layer of crusher-fines to verge per m2
Concrete Pram-ramp Construction
SCOPE OF THE WORK








Base excavation to 100mm below kerb, disposal and preparation
Pram-ramps installation
Sub-base crusher-fine fill and compaction to 50mm below kerb
Supply and laying of 50mm thick pavers
Paving sand, (Stabilising jointing resistant to weed growth and insect infestation)
Concrete Haunching
Application and compaction of a 30mm layer of crusher fines to remaining verge area
Site Clean up
Example colour of paver and header will be available for viewing

SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS OF THE CONTRACT





All contractor staff to have appropriate Personal Protective Equipment, Training, and Plant
licences/Tickets required to perform any part of this tender requirement.
Workzone traffic management accreditation is required as part of this tender
Work Health Safety Policy
Public Liability Insurance $10 million
Contract Works Insurance $10 million
All works will need to be completed by end of March 2014; The Principal reserves the right to
accept a Tender in part or in whole.

IMPLEMENTATION TIMETABLE
All works must be completed by no later than the end of March 2014, Commencement date and
proposed works schedule will be negotiated upon acceptance of tender with the Manager Infrastructure
and Environmental Services and successful contractor or contractors.
